Thank You for showing the problem and how you found the solution. I never fast forward through your stuff and I listen attentively. You sir a an artist in wood. You see a piece while others see scraps. LOL! I will practice with my grinder before I work on my finished pieces. Nice problem solving with the router bits. Two bad there isn't a two thumbs up button.

I have access to an old shopsmith. I have slowly begun to practice with it. I made simple name blocks for my kids. I want to make this family sculpture for the 4 of us.

What a beautiful piece!

I purposely leave a few marks on my furniture and decor items because it reminds me of older hand made pieces. Before machines, builders didn't eliminate all of the marks. All of my customers have liked that concept so far.

My goodness this this beautiful!

It killed me to see you take the band saw to those sculpted walnut pieces. Instead of using a grinder to smooth out the middle, you could had utilized a 1 inch air powered belt sander. That would have given you more control with less chunking out with a crude tool such as a grinder disc. Love the finished work. Thanks for sharing.

The router problem happened to me the other day. Everything when well until I was cross-routing the grain. The beveled router bit started to hop and burn the wood. Very nice work! Thanks.

Very nice project. For the glue up, on projects this size, old tooth brushes work very well to get good coverage with out excess.

Once again a beautifully intricate piece. I like that you include the thought process and course changes that often have to occur when making unique art pieces. There is nothing more frustrating than being almost done with a several step piece and a "disaster" striking. A nick here or there in a wooden piece is character, a grind going wrong on Waterford Crystal is a travesty. I would not be able to handle the pressure of the latter.
