Finished watching. Amazing job and great pulling through! Gotta commend you on your editing and commentary too. You put hella work into sharing this with us.
I almost teared up when Pokke Village theme started playing :,) Idk where you’ve been but I want to start learning to sculpt so I can make my own figures too! So I hope you’re well and come back to this.
Well that was a great read, thank you very much. The last year has been "one of those years" for sure, and I'd like to come back and get the ball rolling again. Just hard to find the time and the drive... but a comment like that sure helps. Never say never :)
I'm glad I came across this video when I did. I got hit with a wave of nostalgia about the time I took a small sculpting class in high school and created a half body Brachydios sculpture. I ended up reminiscing about how much fun I had in the process despite how painful it was but the end result really makes everything worth it. Too bad that sculpture is gone but this video really kind of lit a fire that died long ago in which I am motivated to pick up sculpting again just for the fun of it! Definitely dropping a sub and hoping to see what new sculptures are to come!
Oh that's awesome. Thanks. Hopefully I can get back to it too someday. Life stuff makes a sculpting channel difficult to manage. I need some of that fire back too, so if ya got some to spare.... 😉
I've been waiting for it too, believe me. I didn't just run into road blocks with the sculpt, but other stuff including, but not limited to, the sudden death of my PC and general holiday craziness... ugh. I think literal "blood, sweat & tears" went into this one haha. Regardless, I'm glad you and everyone else stuck around and turned out for this one.
@@TheMonsterSculpter honestly it was well worth the wait. I love the amount of detail and effort that gets put into these sculpts, and the editing make you feel like where with you throw out the prosses.
Just found your videos. You've inspired me to get back to sculpting. I hope you're still making things, even if you're not posting them on youtube any longer!
Well thanks, that's great to hear. I actually have made some stuff, but I had to take an extended break for a number of reasons ranging from tech/equipment problems (like a dead pc for instance)and a personal injury that forced me to concentrate on recovery for a while. I'd love to get back to it, but... its a process. Let's just say that haha.
That would be cool, yeah. I actually really like that monster (I'm a weirdo). Him, Great Maccao and Pukie would all be fun to take on, but I'd have to figure out feathers first. For sure tho, I would love to. Thanks for the suggestion
Ya know, I tried that. If you look really close, in a shot or two, you can see that I tested some dark blue highlighting on his back hump. It looked ok, but I wasn't all that confident in it. I ultimately chose to go straight gloss black after testing it.
Hey man, hope your doing well and wanted to say thank you, your videos where one of the reasons why I decided to make sculptures online. Not sure if you're planning on coming back, and respect your time, but just wanted to say you are missed!
Hey, thanks man, I really appreciate it. It's nice to hear stuff like that every once in a while. A return would be great and I really would like to, ESPECIALLY with Wilds right around the corner, but tbh its all very up in the air. Just between us th, I was THIS close sculpting the new dog raptor mount buddy after the first trailer got released... but I just couldn't make it happen unfortunately. The whole reason I "left" in the first place was because I got pretty badly hurt on 2 separate occasions back to back, which included nerve damage in my dominant hand, no less. This all happened shortly after the Narga video went up btw. I had to concentrate on healing (which took close to maybe 10 months) and in that time, youtube saw fit to just flat out nuke the channel as far as views went. It was all very demoralizing. That and also the amount of money for supplies and time going in (sculpting and editing are NOT very time-friendly activities if you know what I mean) and realizing I hadn't made a single cent off these videos cuz I was never able to get monetized... I just couldn't justify it to myself after everything. I would love to return, but for now I need to concentrate on other things. But hey, never say never. I have a beefy as hell PC now so maybe I could figure out streaming in time for Wilds. I'd love to do that. Sorry for the wall of text sob story. Thanks again tho for your comment and for watching and for remembering, I really do appreciate it.
i dont see any pink rathian, i wanna see one please.... if u can be bothered.... like if u have the time and stuff, i mean NARGACUGA is also greate.... th-tha-ankyou :)
Sculpey 3, the white one, is softer and doesn't hold details very well which makes it ideal for interior form building and shaping. Super Sculpey is much more firm and holds detail very well and you have much more control with it overall. That's basically it
The mere thought of that makes me shudder. Believe me, I would love to do that one day, I look forward to taking up the challenge... But man, what a nightmare it would be
