I just found this kind of art and would like to ask can you paint over this with acrylic paint and if so can you use a gloss varnish or spray gloss over it to seal the paint on to the sculpture once it is done and if so what kind of gloss would that be any information would be helpful.

please , what are you using that you can use with your fingers? i cant do that with drywall mud. your work is beautiful!!
