@casual.wardog they call it the full release but it surely won't be a finished game. They will say.... but wait there's more, we have more updates coming. I think they will finish the game in the next 3 years and open it to modding. In 2 or 3 years I believe it will be an amazing game.

If you means that all player interactions are always about killing eachother while backstabbing and stealing then you get it wrong. Not all player that play survival will always in the mood for that kind of interaction. Some civil and peaceful interactions are more preferred by some of survival players, you'll be surprised just where you can go when using peaceful interactions. Beside..... In some crowd POI you'll be wrong by thinking you're all alone there. You never know when stealthy eagles and rats already spotting you but decided to leave you alone and just doing their own business....

Player interactions in scum are most of the time KOS because we don't have enough PvP

@@casual.wardog I want to say maybe that's the problem mate but at the same time it also not wrong so it back again to the player itself, maybe the server where you are on are not the kind of server you dreamed of mate. I can tell you this from my experience that in some Europe or Asian PvP server most of the player are a sneaky lads. They prefer to going stealthy while doing their own business and just leave you alone even though they know they can make a kill from clueless player.

That's the reason I stayed in a single spot hidden for hours.. still not a single movement 😁 I played on an Official server

I don't like high loot servers and bot servers.. and Dr Grant and John are playing for a lot of hours to get footage for a video.. a lot of work on their side (I respect that).. I used to play 30 hours for a 10 minutes video with some PvP.. I don't have that time anymore

Well.. maybe the upcoming update will increase that.. anyway.. for a new player SCUM offers a lot of things to do.. so you can explore that before the full release this year

it actually depends on the server, I found a server which is quite full all the time and it's very hard to survive especially if you like to loot bunkers and military facilities.

I think that I actually called it a Rust Bunker in my old videos when the modular bb dropped.. it's kinda the same like before.. just one step more to make it work.. some people didn't appreciate it🤣 they said that is toxic and I'm ruining the raiding for a lot of people 🤣

Events are not fun.. no gear fear there.. no rewards😁. Weapons factory is a very important PoI and still not enough people going there.. everyone is just staying inside their sector.. no reason to explore

​​@@casual.wardogYeah, I consider events only as training. I also never went specifically to the weapons factory, because as you said yourself, there is no need to. It doesnt matter where you settle down, you will always have a bunker and a POI in your area worth looting. Thats why ppl tend to stay in their own area. Which has its own vibe to it too. I personally dont tolerate anyone crossing or even settle down in an area which I consider to be owned by myself. So there is always potential for territorial dispute. The only reason for now to travel greater distances is to get specific building items, like bricks for example. Another factor is the stupid sector respawn, which is at least disabled on the Hardcore servers. But the shelter respawn is still available on Hardcore servers. In DayZ on the other hand you always respawn at the coast where you will most likely come across other freshies. This greatly benefits players interactions. SCUM random parachute is not a good approach. It would be a much better idea to do something similar to DayZ and force ppl to respawn at a certain place. Like the prison for example, where you would need to escape the prison to get free. With the upcoming NPCs that could be actually made pretty good. Maybe the new quest system will shake things up and force players to leave the safety of their homes. But to be honest, I expect something half baked coming out of this, like always. MOD SUPPORT is a MUST for the final build. Modders most likely will be the only ones giving this a game a soul, because thats the most thing that lacks in this game, it still feels soulless and half baked on so many levels

I totally agree with all of your opinions about the gameplay and how it's done and especially the point with the spawning, but at the moment it seems the game is like developing backwards all the good stuff is being taken out by stupid decisions. I don't get why they're doing this to their beloved game and the promise to be the best survival game out there. The biggest point for me: The AI spawning systen like it is now, is just a fucking game breaker and I really mean it, u can fucking locate players by checking if there's zombies spawned in a certain area that's just mind blowing in the bad way tho. I really hope that's getting changed again somehow. There must be another way to safe performance. But please not like this its super fucking horrible what going on recently.

@@mikush95 I hear you mate. The development is going backwards, sideways and in circles, but not forwards. The game has so many issues, but the devs keep adding things which nobody asked for, instead of fixing the things we already have. And yeah, lets better not talk about the broken new puppet system. This is def a deal breaker! Why everything seems to be going down the toilet is difficult to answer. Maybe them being bought by another company plays a role in that. Also greed has become an issue aswell. 10$ for car skins is ridiculous. With every update they do they seek for questionable ways to extract more money from their customers. Regarding 1.0 I hope for the best but to be honest I expect more fuckery than we already got now. My biggest hope is in mod support. In the end of the day it will up to the modding community to fix all this mess and save the game from ruins

I also play Hold Your Own. I found out after I bought it the game is pretty much abandoned by the developer. The discord is next to completely silent. I still did 2 playthroughs of all the quest. I originally bought the game just because of the helicopter. I wasn't disappointed. I thought the helicopter was great. The black Jeep was a cherry on the top. DayZ immersion and survival are good.. everything else is not

I'm playing both games dude.. KOS in SCUM is happening because we don't have enough PvP so when you see someone you wanna go for some PvP

I'm still enjoying SCUM.. I like DayZ for the PvP but that's all.. I can't play it a lot.. it's too.. ROBOTIC

I know what u mean and my heart and soul is still with Scum but we have to leave for now, to wake them up, to show them that's not working out like that. Maybe they change if they see that the players are running away. I hope so.

Not on private servers mate.. and 7/10 is definitely over exaggerated.. are cheaters but not 70%.. EFT that is the most infected game in the history is not even close to that %%%

@@casual.wardog you can buy cheats for a day yea it's 7/10 they have use..the problem is the regular users and they are more carful when they use it..and private server admins look the other way not lose donators and big squads from servers..official it's more for sure. and i hope devs will fix this inflection. sorry i am rly off topic.

Day z may have a few better gear options one of the top of the like the camel pack and the marine bag and then zombie spawns and zombie hit boxes are better but the overall map foliage and map it’s self along with character stat building and mechanics is way better than days by far

@@jeremyjohnson4798 i understand you man! I like scum too, i like all that rpg stuff, bunkers and the different kind of puppets. In day z we have zombies and thats all. But with all that crap in day z and bugs and stuff, when i play it i feel like im there, the realism and the imersion are on other level. All the towns and cities and villages... it hits different. 👍

No better realistic survival game out there.. DayZ PvP is great and that's kinda all.. the game is clunky AF.. SCUM latest update wasn't good but still the only realistic survival game that got real potential

@@casual.wardog What do you mean "kinda all"? The game is open for mods and there are hundrends of them. And the mods basically will affect the PvE affect of the game which is fun. So having a good PvE and PvP on top is a gem. SCUM is all about staying on the preffered Square to farm and no real reason to explore. That is why you barely interact with others. You were sitting on the same spot for hours..loke everyone else lol

@@menuscule771 bad graphics.. trash zombie ragdolls and melee mechanics, Robotic and clunky animations.. the only good parts are player interactions and the immersion.. my opinion.. alive because of the modding community.. if you like it that's all that matters

@@casual.wardog SCUM developer should have open their game for mods as well. Modders would make it much better. For now the game is dead untill next big patch with AI fixes and more content. Dayz is not clunky, I really don't understand what do you mean by that. The engine isn't perfect, I agree. But this is an old game after all. As for the zombies, you are taking about their vanilla version I believe, coz with mods they run towards you, they brake your block, they throw rock to you when you're staying above them. They are braking doors and windows... they are always try to surround you and if they kick you you'll loose stamina...man.. SCUM isnt realictic at all. Digest system is the only realistic thing in the game and treating injury, that is it, Imho
