It's easy to make the rod holder. 1) Buy a stainless steel rod about a half inch diameter and sharpen one end. I bought the rod from Home Depot. 2) Buy a pic pipe and cut about 20 inch ling. 3) Buy a clamp. Using this clamp you can adjust the pipe height on the stainless steel rod. You also need a hammer to set the stainless steel rod on the ground.
You should try Kings beach. If you haven’t yet. It’s very close to that spot and a lot of rocks. Good tog fishing. And everything else. Not a lot of guys fishing.
Thanks for letting me know, Darry! Sure I will try togs there. Accually, I went to Kings Beach couple of times last year but I didn't like lots of seaweeds there. Hope there won't be many seaweeds this year.

I use pvc pipe, stainless steel rod (sharp one side), clamp, and hammer. Set the rod on the earth using a hammer, attach the clamp, and set the pipe through the rod.
Yes, I usually stop by Sam’s in the fall season for tautog fishing . For scup fishing I don’t. When I catch squids I store then in the freezer for baits.
@@t4m00 그냥 Sam’s Bait & Tackle 가서 사면 되요. 낚시대/릴 같이 세트로 100불 정도짜리도 쓸만 합니다. 저도 그렇게 시작 했어요. 낚시대는 10피트 이상 미디엄헤비듀티, 스피닝릴 6000 이상 사면 됩니다. 원줄은 threaded line 40 파운드 감아달라고 하세요. 목졸 (leader)은 40 파운드 모노필라멘트, 싱커는 4온스 사세요. 미끼는 갯지렁이 쓰면 됩니다. 오징어/한치를 쓰셔도 되구요. 한치미끼는 티버톤 다리 옆에 있는 낚시점ㅇ 한치가 싱싱하더군요.
