I am so happy to see you playing MTG, it is truely a wonderful game. I am by no means an expert at the game, but I do have some experience and would love to provide constructive criticism, as each game is a learning experience! 8:57 - here you could have activated Raveneous Squirrel and sacrificed the token blocking the Ooze to draw a card 10:45 - leading with Raveneous Squirrel would have given you the option to sac Chatterfang if it got targeted by removal like it did Other than that, I agree with every other move you made, especially inclusion the squirrel facts which was the best move ever!

The squirrel deck is ridiculous right? At least the printed ones. It's the deck I wanted when I started but I couldn't afford it so I ended up with vampires. 🤓

I just finished my own squirrel deck about a week ago and I have had a blast playing with it. It's right up there with a goblin tribal deck for me personally.

I made my own squirrel deck a while ago, using fang and spitter. I don’t have the wildcards for parallel lives, but I DO have mirror box, which gives +1/+1 to all nontoken creatures with the same name per copy of that creature, and also gives legendaries a +1/+1, AND allows more than one chatterfang on the field(which multiplies his effects). I also run Dig Up, which can get land in a pinch, but can be cast with cleave to act as a tutor(BBG1). I don’t have it personally, but another card which could be scary for this is Chatterstorm, which is 1G for a Squirrel, but it has Storm. Scary stuff…

I totally agree with how fun squirrel armies are! My friend once summoned two billion squirrels with a similar deck, which promptly killed me, but it was hilarious. I'm really enjoying these videos, can't wait for more!

I'm digging these magic videos. I love building decks in magic, but I could never afford the cards i wanted when i was growing up. It's fun seeing decks not limited by the amount of money you have.

There's still definitely a monetary factor if you want to play a wide variety of stuff, but it's not nearly as expensive as traditional paper magic.

Hey man! Just a heads up, you can actually stop at your upkeep, make a token with chitterspitter, and then sacrifice said token to its own ability!

You should do the Scurry Oak Combo deck or the UW Auras/WB Auras deck! Love that your doing this. As a huge MTG fan and Hermitcraft fan this is amazing!

Definitely enjoying this new series. Are we going to get facts for every decks focus? That would be pretty fun. Also could be cool to see a quick game against a bot as a demonstration of what the deck should do, though that may not work well with your editing style. Keep up the great work wels, I am interested in seeing what other decks you have in store for this series!

Hard to do fun facts for every type (for example, the next deck is all about +1/+1 counters), but it was fun to do, so maybe I'll work them in when it makes sense.

Lead the stampede would help a lot with card draw, circle of dreams druid would let you reduce the lands a little bit and still have plenty of mana

Mainly the problem i found with this deck is Parralell lives and toski were always too expensive at 4. Always getting in the way of plays etc. What I did which seems to have improved it is i removed both of those cards and replaced them with 2 copies of sylvan anthem and 4 copies of heraldic banner. I still need to play it a bit more for a final verdict but i saw an instant rise in my winrate.

Arena doesn't have Modern. Its eternal format is called Historic and mostly includes only stuff from Ixalan onwards.

This is a weak squirrel deck though, there's more squirrel synergy. Although I don't know if Arena, has those cards. There's a good old card known as Druid's Call, the best enchantment in the game. Basically a single card to generate infinite squirrel tokens. But that's basically the only good squirrel related card that wasn't in Modern Horizons 2. However as someone who only plays Vintage Magic, or Highlander. Squirrels ain't really my thing. I'm more of an Elf kind of guy... Way more synergy and way faster and functions identically as squirrel decks do...
