@@rc-daily I would have to agree to disagree. I think at this price point hh could’ve done better, like maybe carbon fiber chassis rails or at least thrown a set of wheels or tires in with it. I know its the ease of not having to source but I feel this should’ve hit the $375 mark. Been in the hobby almost 15 years, just my two cents. it does look like a fun build happy trails
@Roy Rodgers you can buy carbon rails for it if you so choose. Axial offers them already. But think, I just bought a forward motor mount and transfer case for my v4 gspeed build. I got a blemished product for 115 luckily. Normally they run 150-175. Then add in axles. That was another 275ish iirc. Then links, they're 75ish bucks. Just those few things get you well on your way to scx10 pro costs. Except with a 10 pro you don't have to figure out anything on your own. Just build and enjoy. I've got something close to 1000 bucks worth of parts here or on the way here and I don't even know if any of it will work together. To me, this kit is worth a few hundred extra jobs for the time saved and peace of mind that it's all built to work together. I don't need gspeed parts, tgh parts, dlux parts, axial parts, traxxas parts, Holmes hobbies parts, 3brc parts, etc.
@@rc-daily look I got a lot of time and money in a few different rigs, I get it but I just can’t help but feel horizon hobby is taking advantage of the axial client base if you were to do a parts breakdown with a cost comparison you’d find they are making insane margins on this kit. They could’ve passed some cost saving off to the customer or offered the the high end parts they offering as an upgrade out of the box. Not out to ruffle any feathers, hell I’ll probably end up with one anyway at some point lol
@Roy Rodgers oh believe me, I'm not saying it couldn't have been substantially cheaper. We all know the mark ups on all of these products are probably pretty great. But I also own my own business and know that good profit margins are what keeps the lights on, the bills paid and the help coming back each week.
