You could have told me that the pain job turned out 100% as intended, and it would have made no difference at all. This thing looks GOOD! Well done sir!
THANK YOU! I went right into panic mode! I thought it was done. Mind was racing. Working it wet was key. I think, had I waited any longer and the paint had set up, it would have been tough to fix.
@@VermontScaleCustoms I bet it was a bit of a rush too, huh? I really enjoy the scale aspect of this platform, warts and all. Making mistakes is part of it. But even better than success is pulling off a winner in the face of disaster. What you learned from it alone will be invaluable with your future builds. Sounds cheesy but true. Either way, I'm enjoying following you along. Thanks friend.
You know I have a ridiculous amount of time available right now as a full time live-in caregiver. I could easily build an FJ for you. The body is still available at Etsy.
Beautiful work brother I hope and pray that you keep pushing forward I mean unless you really don't want to you know if it becomes unhappiness then obviously nobody's going to want to be there you know but you know just you sharing does help people
Thank you, William. Yeah, combined with the friction from facebook groups on some days, the stuff that goes on here, it can make things a bit challenging to stay interested. I appreciate the compliments and I enjoy that people do manage to glean some information from the videos.✌️😎
Thank you! Nick showed this to me months ago and it's been on my mind since. Super psyched I grabbed it. And, thank you, very happy it wasn't ruined. Thankfully, I was able to salvage it! I might do a little more.
I just subscribed, like what I've seen so far! You will never get anything negative from me. Questions and discussions you may get! I love this hobby and probably have too many rc vehicles!
Thank you! Stick around for more. Sometimes I get inspired, lol! Feel free to ask anything. I'm usually pretty good for writing a short essay for an answer ;)
Nothing but praise. I really like those wheels and tires. That body style suits the scx24 platform. I feel that with a small bucket, some tiny paint brushes, and a step ladder in the back, this would be a believable house painters daily driver.I like it when a rig looks lived in. Cheers!
Thank you! Once I put those W&T on, I knew it was meant to be. I like your add-on suggestion. I'll have to keep my eye out for some stuff! Thanks again and🥂
I think your channel and rigs kick ass and I appreciate your content. It’s actually one of my most watched channels, I’m even waiting for all my parts for my Vermont scale customs inspired cj wpl.
It's always satisfying to hear that influence is being passed on. I see it in other builds and make my own. Others see mine and then make their own. I'm really glad WPL has grown as much as it has. The following is enormous now.
I love how the paint job turned out, I think it looks awesome. Appreciate you sharing. Catch you on the next one until then peace and chicken grease. 😁👍👍😎
Beautiful rig, I’m in the process of getting parts to build one Unfortunately there’s always going to be dickheads with huge egos that feel the need to put people down so they can attempt to be happy. Just don’t feed the trolls
This came from WT Micro over at Etsy. You'll have to sign up for the mailing list and jump when the notification arrives that he's restocked. They go fast. Good luck! www.etsy.com/shop/WTmicro
That's what I said when Nick showed it to me. Wanted to buy it ever since! Yeah, never understood why the FJ40 body is available in a variety of scales but not so much on the FJ45. The Element a few years ago was sick! And I really like the one they did just last year. But, all lexan. I think since it showed up for the TRX4M that it may finally appear for 1/10 but what do I know?
Thank you! It's a sleeper truck, too. One of my best performers. I think it's pretty close to the C-Bolt WB. The rear links are from @albin_deisnged - some custom titanium which are few mm different than the deadbolt rears. I think this came out a hair longer but only like 1 or 2 mm difference.
