Scythe forgery in the Osby region 

Osby and the region around Osby have a long tradition of scythe forging. In the film we show what the scythes were used for, how they were forged and recount the heavy work of the scythe smiths. Many of the smiths put a stamp on their scythes and the Osby local heritage society’s museum have preserved some of them. We want more people to see them and learn about their use and heritage!
The film is created by the Osby local heritage society, in 2019, within the project KONTEXT - letting the objects speak. Participants: Lars-Åke Ljungdahl, Hans R Svensson and Sven Arneberth. Narrator: Lars-Åke Ljungdahl.
