As I am a fan of the Biocomposite bows, I have ordered the Scythian variant as well.
It’s a beautiful bow and stringing is easy!
The tips are covered in leather and remind me of Korean tips.
The bow has a very smooth draw up to my drawlength and shoots like a charm.
No handshock and nice sound! 🥰
Here are the specs:

The bow fits into my gorytos as well (that I had created for the Sikiti in 2020) 😁

Danke sehr! You have corrcted my mistakes of using the horn thumbring that my hubby has carved for me. Now with more practice I will show better shooting perfomance cause I am new to Asiatic thumb release (formerly used to shoot only Mediterranean style). Wxpecting more vids about Asiatic release applicable to Scythin and other bows!!!

Thank you so much again, dear Natalie! ☺️🙏🙏 I only shoot with thumbrings, mainly some sort of Turkish Style. You also find Gao Ying, Manchu and Korean styles on my channel, too - although I’m not a master in these styles, I try my best! 😁 For Gao Ying style I recommend Justin Ma’s videos (“The Draw” and more), for Manchu style you may look at Cathay Armory. A very smooth draw and a crisp release. Thumbs up to you and the bowyer who built this masterpiece. Mine is 55 # at 28 inch and I am a bit worried that my 450 grain arrows are a bit too light for my monster biocomposite weapon. I enjoyed your video and your shooting ability, your archery knowledge and nice posture either. You are a beuty in all respects

☺️Thank you so much for the nice compliments, dear Natalie! ☺️🙏🙏 Indeed, the Scythian BC bow should be shot with ~9gpp, but not less than 8gpp. If your draw length is 28”, you have at least 55lbs on your finger (if humidity is low it can be more, approximately up to 63lbs at 28”). I would calculate your arrow with 63lbs (it’s recommended to invest in a suitcase scale, they are easy to find on amazon). However, find out your draw weight and multiply with 9gpp. For the example of 63lbs the arrow should have a weight of ~570gn (spine ~400 I think). I hope, that helps! ✌️😁

Beautiful looking bow for your collection. Real good shooting form in the 2nd half. You were pulling thruw/ better back tension makes your release better. Keep the videos coming.

Yeah, i was super excited when i finally got this bow few months ago and it quickly became my favorite but it did crack on me. And this was the first horsebow that ever cracked on me so.... i still have some of the cheap 150-300 dollar bows from a decade ago and they still shoot fine... My draw is only 29 inches since i anchor on my cheek bone so there is no way i over drew it. I emailed them but they are not responding. Something to consider i guess. Definitely disappointed with it 😕 I want to try Nawalny next.

Oh dear, that’s no nice experience! I wonder, that the team hasn’t reacted to your email… If I were you, I would keep on trying, because you have some guarantee for the bow and time is running… So far none of my bows has cracked… I needed to repair one bow (Hybrid), but so far I have no problems with all the others. Best wishes to you and I hope, that you receive a replacement or repaired bow. 🙏

@Agama Green i figured i will put an update on here, so they did respond and checked the photos i sent. They shipped replacement bow and told me that they improved the construction on their scythian bows so i will get the new edition. I am happy with that 🙂

Yes, my strings are usually twisted and while drawing I rotate the wrist, which results in a string twist in draw (you can see my hand turning while drawing) ☺️

@@FM-oi3me Since the Assyrian is only 25lbs, I don’t shoot this bow often these times… I love to shoot the Tatar due to shape and handle, next comes the Scythian bow, but the handle is a little too round for my taste. The shape is the most beautiful in my opinion ✌️😃

It’s based on his experience as a seller. I think, it’s a great table if the bowyer hasn’t specified the arrow weight. You’ll be on the safe side for the bow, if you follow the recommended gpp in the table. I appreciate his work very much!
