Lorewise? Zeta gundam in the Anime is a blitzing bruiser. The ability to both transform and carry multiple arsenal and the hyper mega launcher makes it a superior MS during the gryps war. Then, a biosensor, which is a weaker Psycommu, was equipped on it. This tech can only be used by powerful newtypes. Even Amuro cannot utilize this and only Kamille, Scirroco and Judau was known to have used this tech. The design though is too complicated and in the next gen MS, the hyaku shiki and Methuss' designes was used instead . Only Kamille has ever used its full potential. Kamille's greatest feat with Zeta is creating a beam field around Zeta that made it temporarily immune with Beams; He also extended and empowered his beam to some hyper level; And he was able to weaponize the waverider form by ramming it to The O which has superior layers of armour.
@@connorkling2952 Yep that is Kamille's greatest feat, by Empowering Zeta with his space magic and biosensor. But in terms of technological advances, Most Zeta designs were scrapped off as only Kamille has ever used it properly. Amuro is more of an exception since he is THE best pilot in UC. Zz is also good but Judau has made it his trailer home in Jupiter. Maybe the lack of Zeta's piloting data prevented the further improvement of the machine.
@@connorkling2952 There's the Re-gz which has the same basic armaments of Zeta but is more of a methuss successor. The delta plus in Unicorn are more like Hyaku shikis but sometimes identified as zeta type. The other Zeta variants are not much used though. Roux was no longer seen in any of Judau's reappearance in xbone or victory and I doubt Zeta is still operable at that time. I also like Zeta and considered it as one of the finest. It's a shame that the Zeta has no upgrades with funnels and the like.
