I know this is a real historical war with real people & vehicles... but this is so evocative of a future dystopian madmax scenario when folks will modify their suv to survive the badlands...
😭 It's watching superb model making like this that makes me wish I didn't start buying kits again and look to getting back into the hobby. The agony of thinking how long and how much practice it's going to take to get anywhere near as good, as good I want, gives me chest pains!
It's a hobby that should be fun, but if you strive for perfection too much, it can become painful and suffocating. It's okay to be self-satisfied, and don't forget to enjoy your hobbies with ease and grace.🍰🍩🍪☕🫖
@@smc-2 You know, those are wise words indeed. After all, that's what it was all about as an 8 year old - ah the memories of those tube glues and the aroma of Humbrol enamel paints are flooding back. But yeah, it was all about fun I was getting too wrapped up in all that analysis paralysis. What am I saying, was... am _still_ and I should start out small, have an idea how I want to go it, but expect duds. Although, that said, not much around that's inexpensive these days. But I shall take your advice and get myself into that state of mind and leave the 1/16 Das Werk kits for later. Cheers ✌
As I mentioned in the description of the 1st anniversary video, in the past I only made airplanes. But now I have no intention of building any more airplanes.🍉🥝🫐🥭
When are the reviews on Zvezda or ICM kits? And when are the firewood reviews? Otherwise it’s all Dragon, RPM, Tamiya, so it’s time to old people will turn to kits, otherwise it will feel like only these companies exist and then bam, and you buy, for example, BT-5 from Zvezda and find a lot of flash, traces from pushers, weights, a lack of transparent parts, and crappy instructions, and docking.
I bought Zvezda's T-28 kit. However, I will not be able to assemble and paint it until this winter. It is planned to be finished with winter camouflage. Thanks for your comment.🍺🍺🍺
I’m sorry to jump on your post, but I don’t have a comments box on my iPad… My question to the artist is, do you do a coat of semi-gloss/satin before the oil paint work or just apply the oil paint directly to the flat paint work? Thank You!
