We start the 2023 race season off at Innerleithen, a firm favourite by riders, let's jump in to the practice day session to see the thrills and spills. Filmed by Badger Productions: www.badger-productions.com
Its extremely dangerous to have immovable trees basically acting as slalom gates on a downhill course.A proper course should maintain a 6ft. wide min. swath down the slope, widened to 8ft. in some spots, and simply use the felled trees for jump building,& berm reinforcement etc.and other features.I loved racing DH but to be honest most of the amateur courses were not that well designed or built,To top it off, pretty much none of the race organizers ever bothered with tree pads in critical spots. In my opinion thats absolutely irresponsible. Its potentially too dangerous to be done half assed.
