If he doesn't continue being a beast he has no worth to the show because it's going backward in storytelling. It helps to move forward all his relationships with all the rest of the family. The dynamic between Klaus and Marcel is much better now due to them being equal. Marcel could have killed klaus at anytime during that 5 year jump but he didn't. Funny thing this is exactly what Klaus would and has done to family members who he believed wronged him in the past. Like father like son. Just think how crazy powerful and scary the enemy is that forces them to work together?? Can't wait.

i see what you mean and it makes a lot of sense for marcel to have some kind of power that makes him in some kind of ways almost as equally powerful as the originals because, them( the originals) calling him a family and asking him to do what ever they want him to do but when they feel like it they just push him aside or even force him to do anything they like....makes him look like he is just no mach for them and makes his character worthless , however he now has the ultimate power, he can kill the originals, he can't be killed and especially he is stronger and faster than the originals that he makes them look like new vampires....and in my opinion that takes away the originals charm especially klauses, b/c everyone used to be afraid of him, he can't be killed and he can bite you and only he can cure u. i hope they won't make him the second best after Marcel in season 4...in my opinion he should always be the powerful one...but of course the season villain would be spectacularly terrifying! and also i can't wait to see klauses interaction with marcel after being daggered for 5 years by him.
