My review of the Master Replicas Assault Phaser was the first video I ever uploaded onto youtube 14 years ago. Props to having the top part close instead of sliding open with the press of that lever. I'm hoping that the phaser has a 'rapid fire' mechanic like the rest of Factory Entertainment replicas do since that was my biggest beef with the MR version. And not only are they making the Type 1 Phaser functional, but they also fixed a nagging issue I had with the Master Replicas original. To give the original Type 1 phaser some kind of functionality, they had the replica's magazine extend all the way up the body of the phaser and into the Type 1 phaser's compartment. The top of the magazine had a light on top, and what you would do was place the Type 1 Phaser on top of the magazine, and the light would shine through the Type 1 phaser to make it look like it lit up when it was just the magazine lighting it up. This made taking the magazine in and out very tedious because of the way the Type 1 phaser was semi-attached to the top of the magazine. So every time you took the magazine out, you'd hear the Type 1 phaser become loose and shake around like crazy. And once it was loose, you couldn't put the magazine back properly. If you were going to role-play with it and remove the magazine a lot, your best option was to remove the Type 1 phaser completely.
Not shown on the video, the clip ejects and will make the sound effect when inserted. Most of the parts are just 3d printed since it’s still early in production but so far it’s pretty amazing, as is that classic Enterprise in the Masterworks line.
Great review! FE is really doing amazing but expensive stuff!!! Man have they expanded their offerings!!! I want those phasers!!! : ) They will be so cool but I am sure very expensive!!! LOL

16:04 I mean let's be real. I'm absolutely interested, but I doubt I could justify spending $1500 on something that will be essentially collecting dust on a rack/taken down to play with occasionally. Like, spending PS5 money on a OG Neuralyzer felt ouch enough... Likely spending $800 on the Assault Phaser, another $800 whenever they do a Boomerang Phaser, ANOTHER $800 when they do a Dolphin Phaser, Phase Pistol etc is gonna be it's own world of pain.... Like there are serious bills that are simply not going to be paid because of the things this company farts out, and I have disturbingly little problem with this... But yeah if Factory can find a way to make that rifle lights sounds and fun for $850-900? Sold. Otherwise stick to stuff that doesn't cost used car money. That Assault Phaser though.... ohohohoh she's gonna plunder me riches. Been waiting on that since I ROMO'd (reality of missing out), the Master Replicas version...in the words of Captain Kirk in Generations? Not this time. Imma indulge my FOMO this time. May the bank gods forgive me.
