One point to remember is if you bias the audio you should keep all the bias voltages the same or as close as possible. If not each time you switch between them you will be forcing the caps to either change or discharge to the new dc conditions. Causing switching pops etc.
You are right - I really should have run the output through a speaker to see if there were any audio artifacts there. Definitely going to do that when I have the switch hooked up to the ESP32-A1S. Thanks for the comment
