Many thanks for the comment - it's great to see we are listed as an alternative to the Texas Instruments Sub-1GHz RF Spectrum Analyzer Tool - uk.rs-online.com/web/p/radio-frequency-development-kits/8257248/ yet cover so much more spectrum at a lower price :-)

No problems. Ive had the rsp1 for a while and waiting on delivery of the rsp2. Will be using it as my go to sdr. Happy to know its been shielded a bit too! I put my original one into a metal box a while ago on youtube with another account. As I said the its a great value sdr and the rsp2 looks a whole lot better again. Thanks for bring these out! very useful tool for vlf to shf listening and now in the lab too!

Very good! The datasheet shows that a constant power input of 0dbm is allowed. Is there a spec for DC in? Great receiver, by the way! Learning so much using this kit for different tasks is very useful! Thanks!

Can we log the rx power level in a file like excel with time?

Yes, import the csv file into Excel.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't the power of the received signal depend on the bandwidth of the point in the circuit at which it's measured? I believe this was shown in the beginning of the video by adjusting the red bandwidth lines on the auxillary spectrum display. With that in mind surely it would have been appropriate to show that setting before the ridiculous closeups of the SDRUno dBm figure. I admit that I stopped watching after the 10.3Mhz test results were shown as I felt that the video was lacking in integrity and scientific principles.

Not sure what you mean by "the bandwidth of the point in the circuit at which it's measured" - these are field strength readings at the 50 Ohm RF input port. In the demo, the absolute power readings were dominated by the signal being measured (i.e. no significant adjacent signals within the pass band) - feel free to contact us for a more detailed discussion by going to www.sdrplay.com/support/
