This video demonstrates the process of adding a community plugin to SDRuno. In this case it's a weather fax decoder and we see how to launch the software, select a signal and display the resulting weather map.
March 21st update: Please note - author Jan reports that between 18th March and 19th March, he accidentally had a crashy version of the .dll uploaded. Very cool. SDRPlay's little boxes are the best damned money you can spend in the amateur/SWL sector. If I'd had something like this as a kid in the 70s I would have never left my bedroom.

This is great! I just gave it a shot. It works well. A couple of things I noticed... it seems to hijack the audio signal, so the "mute" button doesn't do anything - it would be nice, if in a future version, the signal can be processed without an audio output to the default sound selection. Also, it seems that some of the frequencies listed in the NOAA pdf are slightly off from what the plugin is expecting. For instance, one of the Pt. Reyes frequencies - 17.151.2 - is too high, and the actual signal is down at 17.146.5. Not anyone's fault, just worth tinkering with the VFO if you notice the signal isn't where it's supposed to be. Seems to work best if the VFO is centered between the phases, and I can't tell if the AGC is worth having on or not. Great work by the dev! Way easier to get a clean image compared to other options out there. Thanks for making the video!

Followed the procedure as laid out. The file is in the community plug ins folder but when I open the plug ins tab on Uno. It doesn't show up.

I can't get this plugin to work on my system. SDRuno Rel: 1.42 1014 under Win10. As soon as I load the plugin its receive window opens with all the buttons etc, but SDRuno stops receiving, the SP freezes and the waterfall continues to scroll but not updating. The task manager says SDRuno is not responding and the only way out is to end the task. The only difference I can see from the video above is when I start the plugin, the "IQ Out" light comes on. Have I missed something obvious?

What interest me the most are what kind of antenna are you using at this moment ? Pictures maybe ? Thank you .

I was using a G5RV wire antenna straight into the RSP1A. The centre is around 15m high inside a poplar tree. The ends sag down to nearby trees with the ends at around 10m high - some notes on the G5RV antenna here: www.electronics-notes.com/articles/antennas-propagation/dipole-antenna/g5rv.php - however I had no tuning unit and no balun either. The coax was fed straight to my RSP1A. The G5RV design is supposedly optimised for the traditional HF ham bands (nearest being 3.5MHz and 7MHz), and so at 4.6MHz it would be performing similar to say a 100 foot end-fed wire antenna.

I was using a wire antenna but a good active magnetic loop would work very well also. Check out the link called "Antenna Suggestions" www.sdrplay.com/misc/

I have the RSPA1 and I'm having trouble on how to set-up those plugins...sample rate to 2000000/32. I cannot find where to put the 2 MHZ/32. The software program I have looks different than the one you have. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

The plugins are for use with SDRuno. If you’re using different software they are of no use to you.

When I try, it just sends SDRUno to "IQ Out" and gives me a black output. No mater what I try, AM, FM, USB, IQ Out, nothing works. Fldigi is still my first choice.

Great, can you recommend a simple antenna to make for this frequency 4.610 khz?.

The wavelength is around 65 metres so just a quarter of that length will pick up a good signal - the challenge is getting it away from electrical noise and it needs to be a few metres high. If you need to use coax to shield the antenna from noise in the building, then you will also need to add some kind of RF ground or counterpoise. It's often about trial and error. Where should i SET the SR please? I can't for the life of me find that setting (just starting) .

In the main panel. However the fact it doesn’t show means you are already in Low IF mode which means you are at an SR of 2MHz. You can see it says LIF.

Deselect any band select buttons you have active to reveal the box.

does not work. putting a comunity dll into the comunity plugin folder does nothing. i can not see the plugin in sdruno.

Dont understand, the screen shows your listening in AM mode, and that does not sound like it

What you are hearing is the audio encoded signal... Wefax is a slow scan analog image transmission mode. See www.sigidwiki.com/wiki/WEFAX

@@SDRplayRSP i have decoded this mode with several other programs always in ssb. Not in AM mode. So my question is why is the receiver on your clip in AM mode?

Doesn't work with 1.42. "Plugin can't be loadedl. The dll forma is not correct" Win 10 and Win 11.

Should be fine. Which version of SDRuno? It should work with both the latest production release and the new SDRuno V1.41 beta release.

I just took the defaults! I remember in the past having to subtract 1.9kHz and use USB etc. I expect by tweaking the filters and notching out the unwanted signal the whole thing could look a lot better. But I was pleasantly surprised how well it worked without me touching a single setting.
