Hi Srikanth, I can only in terms of my own experience - there can be other possibilities as well. For blinded studies, study teams get unblinded after database lock (final or interim based on analysis requirements of a study). Till the point of unblinding, programmers use a dummy dataset containing dummy treatment values to complete the programming - this dummy is created in a such a way that it shares the same structure, variable names and values as expected in live data so that we dont need to change our programs after unblinding - just swap the dummy dataset with actual dataset.
