I think this issue will always be contentious and remain controversial. I think I subscribe to the story of how Yoruba migrated from middle east area in the early days. There are a lot of words that are similar to Arabic words in Yoruba. Take for instance in the Otura verse recited by Araba "Anabiyi" was mentioned. Though he explained what it mean in the verse but in arabic language, "Nabiyy" means prophet. Also, the term 'tira" is an arabic word for Islamic book or an amulet (seal) made for spiritual purpose. That word was not originally a Yoruba word. It means there is a convergence somewhere.

That imale and tira aspects look like what to be used to neutralize whatever any evil Islamic cleric might want to do against someone. This is a more logical explanation. Besides, Islam adherents always look for validation of their beliefs through other people’s religions. They always show feelings of insecurity. If you know your history well Christianity has been in existence before Islam and IFA and imale before both. The word imonle just sound like imale but they don't mean the same thing. This intriguing story needs further careful scrutiny because until the time that Imam ogbomoso burst the bubble, the traditional folks have always referred to islam as esin imale while the muslim are of the opinion that the word "isese" means ilana or principles and shouldn't be used as another word for esin iborisha. Some kabiyesis also supported this view last year in a video that went viral on the internet. The MUFTI of yorubaland, Sheik AbdulAkeem Amofe, sheik Mudiru and Oluwo of Iwo must beam some light on this. Note that the Coptic Christian assertion is out of his own Christian and European bias thinking that we must have been Christians for us to know the stories. Even scientifically our DNA analysis shows that we, the Lemba people, and the Igbos are closest in relationship to the ancient Hebrews.
