Sea Creature Repopulate W/ Cult Members Using Their Tentacles To Control Them

Petri and Alex, a married couple who recently suffered a tragic loss, rent a beachside Airbnb to celebrate their third anniversary. They meet the property's owners Russel and Ingrid, who inform them of the close-knit community's self-sufficient ways. Unbeknownst to the pair, the residents worship an ancient sea god and they plan on trapping the couple and using the woman in a birthing ritual with a creature they refer to as one of "the deep ones". To escape, Alex must wake her husband from the hypnotic trance Russell placed him under and find a way to evade the cult members before it's too late.
