Cheers mate, yeah some really good snaps, the manukau has a reputation for small snapper but there are some good fish around if you put the time into finding them!
must have been nice to finally be out haha. manukau should b good for gurnard now haha need some gurnard action plus more trevs. pretty amazing how quickly you were able to travel from the southern area to the northern area so fast. those were some good sized snapper you managed to get.
Yes it will be Gurnard time pretty soon, the air temp has definately gotten a lot colder lately! Yeah it doesn't take long to get right around the whole harbour on a jetski!
Welcome back mate 👍as usual u rock. Even though I do land based fishing I still learned a lot from your show. I was fishing from the waiuku River mouth last week but caught only kawaii. Can u plz give some advice how to target for trevally.
Hey GC, good to see you fishing again mate! How does the Sea Doo compare to the FXHO? I just got collars and a live bait tank on my FXHO. Its a proper fishing machine now. The collars are awesome. Hope you're well mate and hope to see some more vids.
Thanks Paul! There is a bit more room for fishing on the Fish Pro compared to the FX, although it may of been because I had no cooler on the back. There is a big difference in the handling, the FX tracks straight through any conditions and goes exactly where you want it to, the seadoo feels like a boat where the nose wanders all over the place, I was quite surpirsed at the difference
Hi where did you launch and were you inside the harbour? I’ve only caught snaps that size by launching Port Waikato ie equivalent to being outside the bar nice fish!
I still have the FXHO, the Fish Pro was a customers ski. They each have good and bad points, I felt the seadoo had slightly more room for fishing with the rear deck, the yamaha hull feels way more in control when riding
