This video likely needs an update. My 393rl (June 2018) has its drain plugs in a different location and the nose and tail cones appear to have been redesigned so they appear not meant to fold flat. Mine fits nicely in the bag and if I plan it right, the flat side of the kayak ends up on my back, in the pack. I love this boat, btw!
Ok for a company supposedly known for customer service this should be embarrassing to the companies owner. 9 months ago you agreed an update on this was needed. I’m fighting this beast to get it in the bag. You want to sell these; your best and cheapest advertising is word of mouth. Right now the only thing I tell people is it’s great but you’d better be in shape when it comes time to wrestle it back into the bag! I really like this kayak. It’s awesome right up till it comes time to get it back in the bag…
Joe, please contact customer service at 1-800-748-8066 or via email to Staff@SeaEagle.com and let's get this remedied ASAP. You may have possibly received a hull bag that's too small. Our sincere apologies.
I can't seem to get the end of my 393rl with the valves to go flat when I twist it as you show at 1:50. The other end will go flat when I twist it. Any tips to correct that? I do use a strap, but it still will not go flat. It ends up being much more awkward to carry with it sticking out than it would if I could get it to pack as nicely as you show. Loving the kayak though.
Hello Classic Arcade & Amusement Park Video and thanks for watching. We hope you subscribed to the RU-vid channel for more informational videos to come. This technique gets much easier as the material breaks in overtime, use, and repetitive folding. It's also much easier during the warmer months. In the video, I make the twist fold you mention in one direction. However, it can twist in either. If yours is hard to twist flat in one direction, try twist folding in the other. I unpacked, inflated, deflated, and folded a new 393rl multiple times just the other day without issue. It also fits into the bag nicely. Also, remember to pack the flattest largest fold side of the 393rl so it lays against your back and the heaviest end down. I hope this helps my friend. Wishing you many years of fun with your Sea Eagle product.

I just sent a message on another video you guys have of how to use the motor mount boats, I also just noticed as I pushed comment that no one has ever replied to any posts made. please reply to mine. I need some answers fairly quick. I just watched this video here, the SE9 bag is Horrible in comparison to this one! did you ever improve that? The bag is extremely flimsy, has no extra space and in fact is really too small for teh SE9. the Se9 didn't even come inside this bag, it was provided in the kit " Fishermmans Dream package" why did you guys think to put that black , obviously harder core stuff that is on the bottom of this kayak on the raft? I have punctures all over my 3rd chamber from things so small i don't even know what caused them. I about halfway think they get there from trying to fold up my raft small enough to get it in this bag.
I have just bought a 2022 version of this kayak. I am seriously thinking about asking for a refund as i cannot repack the kayak and also the instructions to install the footrests are inadequate too. I will also be consider returning the 385 i bought at the same time. Great product , poor customer /after service.
