Well done!!! I love the champagne flute!! I have some grands that should be able to do this. I started making them a different way...poking the glass into the styrofoam and using E6000 glue. It takes FOREVER to move on to the next row waiting to dry. So I am going to give your way a try. Also I am using a cement mixer to tumble my glass...Good for massive amounts!! :) Thank you for sharing. :)
Thank you. This really inspired me. Where did you find the tiny LED lights? The smallest I have found are 3 inches. By the way, check the glue for industrial strength or in a couple of weeks, the glass will fall off the plastic base. Industrial will work for smooth to smooth surfaces.
Just a reminder. You should always turn your tumbler on and let it be running before you place your barrel on it this helps you motor. You should never pour your sludge from the barrels down your sink drain. Not sure about the sand but the grit that you use to tumble rocks with will clog your drain like cement.
I love this look. I've just started tumbling. Got 1 for my birthday dec 6. Since then I've bought a double barrel. I've got 1 tumbler with rocks but 2 for my glass. I've seen some other xmas tree creations but love your idea with the light inside!! This has kept me busy during covid. Thanks for your video!
I got the flutes at party city. They are the ones that you use for weddings and stuff. Not sure of the size they only had one that kinda looked like a Christmas tree.
I've made many and sell them during the Holidays but I have never used the plastic flutes and the light. I will def try that! My question is: How on earth did you get that tumbled glass to look that way in only 2-3 days?? And with only sand? I use chemicals which I am not a fan of and they take close to a week. I've tried using sand and nothing happened after 3 days. What am I doing wrong? Thx for the video!
