This short film, all in one take, is taken from footage during my year long solo kayak journey around Scotland. I put it up to essentially show the nature of my kayaking journey, that of paddling slowly and simply exploring.
Beautiful view of a coastline that’s one of the hidden gems of NE Scotland. I visit the Moray coastline as often as I can and never tire of the view from walking along the cliff tops. It looks very majestic from the water, thank you Nick.
Thank you Hugo. I have a plan to visit the east coast more often. Not only is it magnificent, but there is a greater opportunity for spotting dolphins and whales.
Hi Nick, thanks for your videos. I live nearby and am inspired by your enthusiasm for, and enjoyment of, the local coastline. I used to follow you on Twitter but left the platform for my own mental health, and your updates are one of the things I miss the most. I do hope you continue to enjoy the natural world and all its wonders, while inspiring the rest of us to do the same. Please don't underestimate your influence in doing that. Happy adventuring!
That is a lovely stretch of Coastline. I used to Live in Kinloss as a child and we would often go along the coast bird watching with my Parents. Took my Own Kids to bits of it in 2016 we we stayed in Portknockie. We even trying a Sit on Top at Cullen in the Harbour, which was the start of what lead me to Kayaking and were I am at today, still learning and improving, and looking forward to doing my own trips out along our Coastline. The Conditions looked perfect for a bimble in and out of the features on the coast. I have really enjoyed the videos I have watches of your Epic Trip around Scotland. much more appealing than the NC500.
I so love watching your videos especially when you are brave enough to go into caves, narrow spaces with a decent swell. Very skillful. I just wish you would put the GoPro underwater occasionally, the colours and life are incredible underneath (there is one moment in this video would have been perfect underwater shot). You have experienced dolphins, sharks and whales on your journey.. wish the camera had been underwater. No criticism because I love what you have done. A big thank you for helping us all with those down moments. You are an inspiration.
