It has been so many years since an OST hit me so hard. And for what it's worth, my 3 and 5 yo childs already know some of the tracks and keeps saying to me "hey dad it's Sea of Stars!" when I listen to them. As a 90s boy, I can confidently say that Sea of Stars is literaly my childhood encapsulated. Congrats on reaching that special place. ❤
Yes! I fell in love with this game so quickly. It feels super nostalgic but not outdated at all, and the soundtrack is a huuuge part of that! I love that your kids love it too. :)
This game's OST is legendary. Songs like Docarri Village stand toe to toe with stuff like Corridors of Time from Chrono Trigger, I don't think there are many OSTs this could be said for. Eric really outdid himself for the soundtrack, and it's only fitting that it belongs to such an outstanding game.
I found disk 1 earlier today at work, returned to work later and found disk 2 at night, not realizing they contained the day and night tracks respectively...how cool is that!! I love being surprised many times while listening to a soundtrack. This is amazing music
I remember the first time I heard Encounter Elite! v2.1 at 31:37 I was getting shivers as if I was experiencing nostalgia. Félicitation pour le meilleur jeu indépendant de l'année!!! Je suis tellement fier d'être Québécois (:
I'm with you!!! I've been listening to the whole soundtrack (started w/ 1) and even though I very recently played the game, some of the tracks feel immediately nostalgic! I wish I could play Sea of Stars for the first time again.
@@SkippyZii I love how Eric is just like so many of us. Grew up playing games like chrono trigger and mario rpg. What a amazing person he turned out to be! There's hope for us all : )
Hear each game with day songs but hear night song at time with day in each area was a boom, a feeling of feeling inside from game, the best game of year and congrats for the game awards Edit: Thank you Eric and Sabotage with the marvelous music, my favorites were: Battle On (Night), Lost Docarri (Night), Across the Moorlands (Night) and with tears Mooncradle (Night) ❤️
Is it me, or does The Lost Village of Docarri give The Zeal Palace vibes? I love this track (both versions) so much! The eclipse version sounds more like Zeal Palace personally.
How weird that this soundtrack gives me more nostalgia for a game I experienced only a few years ago at age 37 (The Messenger), than for Chrono Trigger, a game I experienced when I was 13.
