I think making sharks disappear or be replaced with jellyfish or something would be a step to far, at some point ya gotta draw a line, everyone has fears, some fear water itself, but ya can't go make the very ocean a toggle in-game etc. Some have been burned badly and fear the devils the roar because of its fire, ya can't toggle the volcanoes etc. Some have a fear of firearms from domestic violence and so on and so on. You guys got big hearts, but keep the line between genuine disabilities and "fear of" things very, very separate or people will take advantage

I'm really excited about the new novel coming out. And even after sizing down what it's about and the title, there are still so many possibilities of what it could be. I cannot wait!
This game needs so much. The most important thing is life I think, by that I mean npc crews in taverns occupying the tables, drinking, singing and gambling. Something like the cursed captains crew in a pirate's life. This is the number one thing you should focus on I think and with a bit of time you could give the npc back stories.
As much as im so happy that Sea of Thieves are taking so much efforts to include those who needs that small aid, i cant help it but not becoming a little worried that the experience for the vast majority would be affected because of a small minority. In 25:00 the devs spoke about how hard they worked on the sharks and how they nailed that experience but if they would consider a tiny minority with phobia it wouldnt be the same.. And as for merch Rare dont ship their merch to Israel even though they did before, yeah thanks Rare.
No dev group would, in their right mind, spend time and resources on a project for the benefit of a minority if they couldn't afford to do it and if the return on investment wasn't worth it.
I think the perfect solution for sea sickness would be a higher FOV. We've seen 120 in action and it definitely works, you just need to implement it into the game as an actual setting. 90 FOV feels too low for even me sometimes and I don't even have sea sickness.
~ ~ *Painting Frame (painted screenshots) please!!* ~ ~ Have the paintings people take on the server, appear in the taverns! I would stop off at taverns just to see what screenshots people have taken with the frame lately! You've talked about it before, and I would love to see it in game! I could see it creating so many fun/funny moments between crews, and you don't need to even add tons of little stuff like the pictures tilting on ship walls after damage etc, to make it easier on the team's engineers lol. The feature itself + appearing in the tavern though, would be a very memorable SoT thing in my opinion!
Guys, take the Barrel Disguise emote to the Pirate Emporium. That's an OP emote because you can hide in the other pirates' ship. The new players can't use it because it's in the Season Two. I can't play in the Season Two because i haven't got time to play. I'm house moving at 4 months ago. I like the game very much. I be a Pirate Legend soon. I was call some friends to play and they buy the game in Christmas.
Unpopular opinion, but if you are afraid of the sea, sealife, you suffer to motion sickness, don't play a naval game maybe? Instead of asking for concessions?

Wish i discovered this game earlier. Bought the game a week ago, really enjoying the game so far. I just wish there is more stuff we can buy with those golds we earn, i played for 1 week and i already got most of the items the outpost npc got to offer.
They need to bring back a lot of the older ship sets, either in game, through twitch drops or in store. A huge amount of players want this. They also need to ask real questions from the community and get real answers.
A great way to help with sea sickness and motion sickness is increasing the maximum FOV option. I know tons of people who do not like playing the game due to the low FOV. This would decrease many people who cheat to gain more FOV.
Hi Rare team, just started playing recently and loving it so far. I noticed a few bugs in the most recent update. 1 time I had a barrel at an outpost bug out and not left me take out anything from it. If I added something in it also got locked. Second, rafts lost their oar animation when using them. Third, reloading canons while aiming feels worse? Sometimes I hold down r until the bar fills up but doesn't actually reload the canon. Lastly when cooking fish I notice an artifact flash when it goes from slightly cooked before turning into perfectly cooked. I felt like that wasn't there before. Keep it up though! I have just bought a pet bird and a few emotes
Good to see development still going on for this game. Not really played since seasons launched. Played too much before that and moved on to new horizons. Got tired of meeting other players and rarely enjoying the encounters that brings. I understand solo pve servers will never be a thing here, so I doubt I'll be back anytime. But thanks for the many thousands of hours I did once enjoy.. Great game! Can't wait to learn more about Everwild.
Try talking to other solo sloop in game, making friends and sailing together. I've met many people like that and this kept my love to the game. Open up a bit, yuo won't regret that :) Happy sailing!
@@hegemon3 , I have started to enjoy games played solo a lot more recently. Not really comfortable trying to approach strangers to play with, and all of my friends long since tired of SOT also. I've enjoyed the time I spent on the game. But that enjoyment wained due to other player encounters. Not the experience I need when I sit down to relax.

I have spinal cord damage that affects my upper body . The one that I struggle with is repairing I will be half way through a repair and my silly hand accidentally pushed down on that mouse even thou I have auto repair on but my finger ends up pushing the button so have to restart over with repairing that hole 😂😂
I suffer with sea sickness irl and did in the game at the start. But I’ve got used to it now and it’s not a problem. I havnt tested to see if it cured my real life sea sickness yet, but I hope so. Has it cured anyone else?
While making the game accessible to the widest group of people possible is a great goal, I feel that Mr. Ashwell's time might be better spent focusing on the UX part of his job description rather than thinking about how to remove sharks for people scared of them. The control scheme/keybinding inconsistencies and the unintuitive nested menu system would benefit greatly from a rework.
Can you guys bring the pirate legend curse back for those who couldn't get it at the time. I feel like I'm missing something constantly playing without it. You could put it in the emporium or something. Please!
Build outposts and towns, but proper ones. Proper bounty hunters that will be hard even for the best crews. Sea life that includes a leviethan that eats the kraken for breakfast. This will allow you to put in a man of war and add captaincy. However this will need a lot of time i believe.
Something a streamer mentioned that I want to bring up: Those who are pirate legend need to keep busy, since they've "completed" the game, so to speak. There's still a lot to do of course, but to keep things interesting, a suggestion was made, and, this is coming from a pirate legend. It would be cool to make a bounty for pirate legends in the standard taverns at the outposts, that encourages action between other players. It'd definitely put emphasis on the legends 😂 and would be fun to hunt down pirate legends. Pirate legends in the comments, what do you guys think? Would a bounty be cool? A mechanic to enable being hunted down and battle it out with other players? Make it optional? Edit: OOH! MAKE A CURSE FOR IT TOO!
To add a bit of detail into the idea, bounties would be completely optional and be turned on and off via the menu upon start up, that way it doesn't reflect the OG Reaper PVP flag, and it's active at all times when in game until the game ends, so, you're not visible to others, but literally have to be hunted down like a bounty should be hunted. Also, upon capturing the bounty, you earn generous rewards, and this option to participate in bounties is available for anyone of the choosing so that players who aren't yet pirate legend can engage with the big dogs and test their mettle. If the pirate legend wins, they reap the benefit of the bounty and the bounty increases until they're captured. I was also thinking the bounties would be posted on the wall close to the Athena emissary or the bar, so as to be a focal point of interest for players.
Pirate legend is FAR from completing the game. It used to mean something before they added emissary’s but now it’s an absolute joke. Still tons to do once you reach pirate legend. It should be more for the end game players who are 50 and 75 in everything.

There's asking for an accessibility feature and then there's asking for something that they have repeatedly stated can not, should not, and will not come to the game as it goes against what they want the game to be. Guess which one you did.
