This dude really pauses the video to show us his split second decision making. When I’m alone and a brig is barreling toward me I turn into cornered raccoon and start screaming
Your attitude about the game has really inspired my attitude while playing. Its a healthy perspective to realize running less skilled or newer crews off the server wherever they go only makes the game worse by turning them off from it. There is already enough salt in the sea for them to experience without me adding to it. Keep doing your thing man. Wish there were more people like you to sail with
You have a hell of a perspective. Your analysis on them finishing the fort, therefore being a happier crew, therefore encouraging more adventures was an excellent point. You're a great sport boss.
CONGRATS ON HITTING 100K I know imm a bit late BUT I BEEN A FAN SINCE 40K CONGRATS AGAIN AND YOUR VIDS SAVE ME AND MY WOODEN BUCKET ON THE HIGH SEAS THNX AND KEEP CREATING MORE btw I'm globallazar remember? From twitch stream long time ago from middle east
Actually, the ambient skeletons on towers respawn if a ship approaches the island, meaning even when they're all dead they still come back to warn you. The main reason to leave them alive is to discourage tuckers in the towers and to know they will not shoot your ship upon respawning.
I thought they only come back if everyone on the fort dies. If those on the fort die all the ambient skellys will return. Are you sure this isn't why you think skellies return when other ships come by?
When everyone leaves the island, say, by teleporting to the Ferry of the Damned which is far from any stronghold, the game unloads everything there. This does mean ambient skeletons will respawn then, as well, but it's not the only time. Another ship approaching the island will result in the ambient skeletons respawning and manning their cannons once more, even if there are people still on the island and in range of it.
@@ultmateragnarok8376 I believe you're wrong here. You likely have died and not realized the skellies respawned because they have nothing to shoot at until another ship approaches. It has been common practice to leave the tower skellies alive since the game launched. Unless they changed it with Fort of Fortune.
@@ultmateragnarok8376 I have also killed skeletons which never respawned when a ship approached. It's not obscure or a mechanic. So perhaps it glitched on that time you saw it. Unless skellies respawning changed in a recent update, since this game came out it's always been a strategy to not kill skellies at the fort towers.
@@PhuzzyBond you have no idea how much your content means to me. You bring good vibes to any encounter. I hope one day to sail the seas with you. -sincerely Blvdrider (aka ArIs3nPhOeNiX8)
With the addition of FoF could you make a guide on how to successfully defend the forts from attacking ships? I’ve been needing some help with this, I’ve lost a number of forts to incoming ships.
If I am going to end up investing my time into this game, I might as well look at your videos and give you a sub. Not only you gave the enemy crew a fighting experience and showed them how frightening and experienced sloop crew can be, but you have also shown mercy and let them enjoy the rewards of their reaping. Because selling a Fort of Fortune loot can be very difficult as other ships would stick to you like flies to sh*t. Honestly need more players like you, who do not trash on newbies for joy at their expense. You do follow the Pirate Code through and through. 😄
If you want succeed on battles you need 4 things, 1 never underestimate yourself, 2 never underestimate your enemies, 3 neves give up, 4 learn with the enemies comportment and your mistakes
Logic doesn't seem to guide anyone. Example: I'm a one-person sloop and was being followed by a galleon with at least two people. They're chasing me despite my firing a Trident at them, etc. They even kept following me when we passed some debris in the water that I had never seen before - it was glowing like an Ashen chest only different colors and was several pieces. Unless they knew exactly what it was, it didn't interest them and they finally caught up. Since I had absolutely nothing but the cook shark I took with me, I scuttled the ship. I like to think that they can't even get what's in my barrels when I do that. Anyone know what that debris was? I can't find anything on Google.
My most recent 'strategy' with my crewmates at a FoF: Two brigs and a sloop have joined in an alliance, we pretended we wanted to help and asked what we would get. They couldn't have gave a better answer, the KEGS! Two athena kegs and lots of stronghold. We decided that we would attempt to sink the two brigs first, while they were distracted with all the loot we both snuck onto each brig. 1 athena keg each. I light mine and set it on bottom deck of the first brig, 2nd one my friend dies but kills all the crew with the keg in the process. Long story short, we sank everyone, defended the fort, and had a great time. And we were also told to get a girlfriend and that our moms dont love us.
"keep the skellys on towers alive" - we know now they are not experienced! What is that conclusion? )) Skellys on towers respawn as soon as another team getting close, knows each experienced pirate )) why bother searching a proper parking spot while you can just clear the towers and park your ship for best picking up spot! As well as anchor, it may be a hint that a crew not skilled, but not necessary! If someone of your crew afk and you have to park on active fort, anchor is a good decision cause you can get close to island fast and get less shots from skellys! the difference is experienced pirates dont stay on anchor longer than its needed!
Phuzzy you are for real the king of the sea of thieves. Not only because of your awesome skills, but also because of how wholesome you are with every pirate out there and how you can turn any regular event into an amazing story. Your videos fill me with joy, keep up the good work man :D
This is only partially true. Most other creators use these, every second they play, but they just don't talk about them. The explaining of them though, that is what makes him a nice SoT youtuber
Love watching your random friendly encounters (have had several myself); just wish you were on NA or I was on EU so we could run into each other again outside of the arena; I love when you meet a random crew and end up allying.
Phuzzy this was amazing, thanks for all the tips and all of the different strategies in the video. And i would like to say your one of my favorite sea of thieves streamers just because of how thoughtful and kind you are, i am so thankful for finding your account on twitch when i did.
Sorry I don't understand? The emissary sunk status was just me scuttling my ship before signing out . If you are talking about flags, there is a great number of players that aren't aware you have to drop your flag, so they sell their loot and sign out, leaving the flag somewhere on the shoreline.
@@PhuzzyBond Yeah i know.. it was mainly a joke because the video ended on Sanctuary...i keep spawning there lately with an Athena chilling somewhere.. in front of Larinna, on the emissary table, etc.
I like the use of Kamikaze Rowboats. I put about 8 kegs of gunpowder on the bow and ram the thing into reaper boats while screaming 'BANZAI!!!' into the game chat. Its incredibly effective and you spawn safely back on your boat already making its getaway as they either sink scratching their heads, or frantically attempt to savethe boat.
There's being a good sport and then there's being a great human. Thanks for your work had to subscribe on this one, its helpful useful information people gloss over. These details are the difference between loving the game and having a lack luster experience. Let em off the hook for a bigger purpose. ✌️
Phuzzy is the GOAT . I got jumped earlier as a solo sloop and I DESTROYED the brig attacking due to this man’s tips. You saved my merchant voyage my friend
This was hard to watch. You should’ve just sunk them, would’ve made them better pirates in the long run. Now they’re going to think their strategy was effective.
I love that intro, honestly. Even though it's a different game entirely, Puzzle Pirates was similar in the sense that you needed to also predict your enemies movements. I brought that mindset to SoT, and honestly, it helps with tricky situations. But that's only based around the naval battle, so this is a great tutorial for someone who wishes to expand their knowledge.
You are the golden standard for pvpers. You think and plan instead of mindless metas, you rely only on skill, you still participate in events and gather any loot (hate people who only sink and let loot go), you arent toxic in chat, and are able to be reasoned with
Yet another amazing video. It’s nice to see someone explaining strategy and tactics. You did much better than I can. I have experience in this from the military but its tough to explain to others. Great job and keep up the good work. Looking forward to your next video and hope to see you on the seas!
@@skelita9952 If I hadn't then I would have assumed it had some merit... And I certainly wouldn't have expected the video to end after the guy making it died three times and accomplished nothing. Nothing about the guide is advanced. The people he's fighting aren't even very good they're just enough of them to make it a fight. By giving up you don't get any better as a player, and neither do the people you fight.
Phuzzy, you are a huge reason why im still trying to get into sea of thieves. With so many better players than me, I have had a considerable amount of bad experiences. My mates first experience was a tucker killing us outside the goldhoard after our vault loot that took us a good few hours of learning, so my only crew sessions are through your discord (thank you massively for that too.) I feel like a lot of new players are pushed away from the sweaty sailors. So your wholesomeness is amazing and im glad we all have a true pirate such as yourself as a role model.
Can a PvP player (we all do it, I mean players who ONLY go for this) explain to me why no one played Arena back when it was a thing? Seems like if you want PvP, that would be the place to go, instead of trying to chase someone for an hour who doesn't want to fight lol.
Quick question, what is his pirate wearing during the video I only saw it in the outro for a Split second and loved it...can anyone help a brother out?? ^^
Unfortunately whatever was said about skeletons in cannons in this video is not true anymore. Skeletons now have godly aim and hit way batter than players from really really long distances.
This one is low to moderately helpful. Not to say you havent covered a plethora of great methods/tactics in other videos (ty). Being a solo sloop I find my greatest advantage are with kegs. I have sunk far more ships with kegs than any other method, especially because I generally try to avoid pvp. And I do not store them in the crows nest :)
Alliance servers are for trash players. You should’ve rowboated over with someone else and kegged al 3 of their boats, took the loot, then sailed it into the Red Sea
This is the kind of attitude that makes new players shy away from the game. Try showing them a little kindness, maybe help them practice their cannon shots or sword tactics, and they will get better and not have to rely on alliances so much. You don't have to be "that guy".
A bit disapointed, even against 6 players you don't want to fight anymore? It's kind of boring, new players are not babies. When I was new, I sunk a lot, I came to watch all your videos, and I get better. Sinking 2 bringantins as the sole player I am, even if they are new, it's a good challenge I'll take.
I like to gain from my battles, all the loot there is worthless to me. Even though I think I'm sitting at around 9 mil now, it's very little. During live streams I'm much more PvP, but videos I aim more towards sportsmanship and providing value. A win in the end would be simply (I'm good at PvP). Thank you for the feedback
