Awww they adopt stranded babies 😢💖😢💖😢💖💖💖!!! To believe us humans almost killed them to extinction is so depressing. Otters are the sea garders by keeping helps helthy and pest free.
Curious, not trying to sound horrible: are there justifiable concerns about the wild population getting weakened by taking pups that would have normally died? I'm guessing not at the beginning of the program since the Elkhorn population was on the brink then, but it doesn't seem like it is struggling anymore (maybe it still is?).
David Diez the WHOLE coast is struggling. Sea otters used to roam up and down the CA coast, by the thousands. They were almost driven to extinction. This is just the pilot.
