This game is so much fun on BGA! Good point on the uniqueness of the two discard piles- it had not occurred to me until you said it! It's not a mechanism but I really enjoy the feeling of gambling in this game. Every draw from the deck feels exciting to me; maybe just because of the charm of the cards. I'm also really happy they added the expansion to BGA- being able to discover new art has freshened up the game since I've played it quite a bit already!
Found this title at Gencon and have been teaching people ever since. Can't wait to see someone play 4 mermaids at once. Seen 3 in hand but not four...yet. Cheers

I'm in the Uk where its readily available atm although I had to wait a while for my copy which i had shipped from the publisher in France. Maybe they dont have a US distributor?
Actually I’m not in the US, I’m in South East Asia. Yeah, few of the games are just not available here (also looking at you Planet Unknown). We have no other choice but to import which cost huge shipping cost.
Good pick! Played this as well on BGA for the first time this week. :D I always enjoy card games where you can "pop-off" by doing 2-3 actions, but the cards are simple enough that a lot of AP isn't created. Similar vibes to me when taking a turn in Dominion.
Where have you been, Mr. Stegmaier! Hahaha. This is one of my favorite games of the year. I ordered it from Philibert as soon as it was available and have also played on BGA. I think the BGA implementation was done very well. I also just received the mini expansion yesterday, but have not played it yet.
