Sea Swirl - Sink Strainer Acrylic Pour Art
Finally back in the studio for some much needed art therapy! Acrylic pouring/fluid art eases my soul and after an amazing week at the Fluid Art Boutique...this was just what I needed! What fun using a sink strainer is. I love the designs!

I’m liking the way the layers are flowing into each other, one on top of the other! Awesome work and stunningly gorgeous work and the color choices are superb! Do you think you would get a similar effect if you spun your canvas instead of tilting it?

Spinning it would not have the swirl effect. It would’ve just spun out like a flower

It’s really beautiful! Inspired me to get some round canvases! Ironically, Mina Villegas kind of answered my question. She did one similar and spun it out. Yup spun out like a flower! Thank you for your response.

I really have to stop watching pouring videos on my phone... Or at least turn the auto-rotate for the screen off when I do. I keep annoying the hell out of myself by tilting my phone as you're tilting the canvas and my screen keeps switching from landscape to portrait and back again 😂😂

Ok I have 2 questions. 1. What is the pirpose of pouring paint around the circle swirl when 90% of it went over the esge and was mostly lost. Why not just tilt without it? 2. Do you spray gloss when its dry? It looks really shiny. Appreciate your advice. I’ll be doing my first acrylic pour tommorrow. Thanks!

I liked it about 12:57 - just a bit more off center with more of the green. What you did is lovely, I would have loved to see it fully dried at the end.

The tilting you did with it gave the painting the look of some sea shells!! 🐚 I think urchin, but I'm really not sure!! I love it!! And here I was wishing you had done it on a spinner! 🤦‍♀️ So much better! 👏👏 Likely would have just given you a flower!!🌼 Much more personality!!💖💖

This is so cool! I love your color palette and the results you attained by tilting your painting rather than spinning it. I think you have better lines and more vibrancy of your colors by tilting. And I love the twist move you did to remove the strainer. I think you’re right-the orientation of the piggy clearly made all the difference😁 By the way-I just watched video #2 and you nailed the strainer pour back then too! Thanks so much for sharing this with us! Be happy and well!
