I loved this horse, for me he was and still is the most beautifull animal ever. Everything was perfect: his name, his look and of course, the most of all, his gallop in races. Thank you volkan for this wonderful movie.
What an incredible tribute to a wonderful 4 legged athlete trained by an expert and steered by a most incredible jockey and horseman. Thank you to all involved so moving and so amazing.
Stars never got the full credit he deserved just because he didn't win by far but the simple fact is and times show he had the speed to stick with Frankel and go past
Two great horses. Sea the Stars clocked a significantly faster time than Frankel in virtually identical conditions in the 2000 Guinneas at a trip short of his optimum. This doesn't necessarily mean he was a better horse but it's interesting that STS had that kind of basic speed and he stayed the mile and a half easily. His offspring are noted for their stamina - Stradivarius being of particular note and Mick Kinane said he wouldn't have come off the bridle had he run in the Leger. In my opinion STS is the best horse in my time( and I've been watching racing since the early seventies).
@@markhiggins8315 I've been watching from 2000 and as a all round complete horse he's the best I have ever seen had plenty of pace and certainly stamina with Frankel no 1 can definitely say he did that's why I favour sts
@@rodneymckee8431 STS never won by huge margins, he just showed his dominance and cruised home. What should be noted is that all through his increadible classic season no horse ever finished within a length of him, this indicated his clear superiority in winning as he pleased. He hardly ever lost significant weight during a race, another indication of how easily he won. Mick Kinane said he was virtually never out of second gear(Mick was definately not a man for hyperbole). Also considering the fact that his time in the Guineas was one of the fastest in the last 20 years( it's very close between Galileo Gold and STS, I know their times are almost identical but I think STS time is quicker). His time in the Eclipse was the fastest in over 40 years and he broke the track record at York in the International(Judmont) this horse was beyond question possibly the greatest of them all. If ever there was a horse I'd have to put every penny I owned on against all opposition over a range of trips it would be Sea The Stars.
