They keep the orcas in concrete tanks and to entertain people for money. They might observe them and collect some information, but their main purpose in seaworld is to make money.

They are STILL performing in 2021. And poor Takara had her calves taken from her, and they still artificially inseminated her again. The whales live longer in the wild where they have no natural predators, and in the wild the babies stay with their mothers for life

@@Elizabethx15 most of the adult whales get about 8 buckets of close to 200 pounds of fish every single day. and if you look at the size of the buckets they get they are pretty big. no, they are not only fed during presentations and training. trainers make time to make sure the whales get breakfast, lunch, dinner, and snacks throughout the day. they dont only eat fish, but they do eat ice chunks, unflavored gelatin and much more! the fact that trainers spend 2 hours preparing the food they get every single day tells us that they really care and love the whales. the director of blackfish needs to be sued for unfair information because its just telling you that tilikum killed trainers. in my opinion, tilikum was only treated poorly at sealand victoria because his pod mates kept bullying him and hurting him. it may have caused tili to get enough of it and eventually killed a trainer who slipped in. with the event that happened around 30 years ago with p. dukes, that was his fault. he went over the gates after hours and wanted to have a “magical experience” with an orca. but tilikum didn’t approve of it and killed him. with the event around 11 years ago with dawn, she ran out of food for a dine with shamu show and kept asking tilikum to do behaviors even though he wasnt being rewarded properly. he probably eventually had enough and got irritated. in conclusion of this long paragraph, sea world would never deprive food from the whales, or any other marine species they have at their 3 parks.

I agree with you so much that's the problem with this world (corruption) but sadly these animals have been driven crazy and wouldn't make it by them selfs even if they are closely observed by professionals which is heartbreaking. They wouldn't be able to survive the atmosphere after living in those horrible cages. Trust me people have done many tests with trying to realise them and not one came back positive and many whales and dolphins have died after been released into the ocean which is heartbreaking PEOPLE DO YOU NOT SEE. You can't train an animal to have instincts or to become a hunter. Look at Keiko: he found people and begged for food instead of chasing live-fish, like he was taught to do. What would they be trained to hunt anyway? Salmon populations are dwindling and the most successful Orcas are the Transients, who eat mammals. Assuming it were even possible, should Sea World teach them how to hunt seals and baby whales of other species?

Prescott Funds does that, seaworld, along mith many other organisations (which you won't know as much about because they do not seem to feel the need to advertise about "their" rescues every chance they get) only participates in that. Seaworld participates, and advertises about, those rescues because it's the perfect mask they need to divert the attention away from what they really have going on there. For every 100 bucks seaworld makes, it donates a whopping 1 CENT to conservation.

Keiko had 5 years of life in the wild to some degree, after his release. His story is one of triumph. They are extremely intelligent animals and apex predators. They can be rehabiliated.

each pod has its own llanguage/rtules/etc so the chances of a wild pod adoting an orphaned calf from a seperate pod and teaching it what it needs to learn would be like zero!

Nope Tilikum is known to love toys the last time I went SeaWorld in 2016 he was playing with them and no he was not mean to do that he did it by himself so may have thought people as toys my.also btw this is my theory.
