Thank you so much for this video I just bought a set. Put a Mat, my brother's house and they sunk. Previous owner did not respond. I ordered the kids and we'll be installing on this week. Thank you for the help video.
I just installed them on my 02 gtx 155. And I did the hard thing and i drilled a new hole in the hull and just siliconed the crap out of it. Haven't put it on the water yet but I'm fingers crossed.
There shouldn't really be any pressure anywhere too much, just flowing water across the outside of the hull, I'd think you'll be fine, but it would probably be wise to keep an eye on it just to be sure at least for the first couple outings
question - I purchased the OPAS delete kit you have from eBay. The large O-rings are just a bit larger then the channels in the plate. any recommendations to make the O-rings fit? Thanks much. Andy
A little RTV, grease or 5200 helps stick them into the groove on the blockoff plate, I usually use RTV and put just a skim coat all over the o ring groove to help it seal up real well, and it holds the o ring in place nicely.
Sorry to bother you on a Saturday but the hoses that I stuffed back in after the removal of the OPAS have water flowing through them. Where are those supposed to go? Do I put plugs in them with a hose clamp?
@@scottwynn4318 you've got all 4 plates on, and the hose from the jet pump capped and sealed? The only thing I can think would be able to let water in is if some part of the jet pump hose stuff didnt get plugged off.
I personally notice absolutely zero difference, but I'm used to steering Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki, older and newer Seadoos that don't have opas, but even the customers I've done this for said the difference was barely noticeable on machines they've been used to for years.
