Hello Bill lovely day shame about the bloomin wind though. Nice to see the video from Andy thank you Bill and thanks for the then and now what a busy beach . Lovely few trains steam fabulous happy trains yay toot toot 🚂. Take care stay safe Bill see you tomorrow ❤😊xx
My new hubby and I came to lovely Teignmouth from a Brixham caravan honeymoon....In 1974.....And was 🔥 HOT! We LOVED the area SO much....moved from Southsea (beach area) to Exeter 10 years ago...Teignmouth being our FAVE day out......And your vids Bill....Are FAB....
Hi Bill, I thought Andy's footage of the Countess Wear bridge was great, it's just a shame that the weather was so bad. I really hope that the rain didn't spoil it too much for him. Another windy one again, thank god for the windblocker. I think that whoever sold the Robofalcon could get a job selling ice to the Eskimos. 😂😂😂 See you tomorrow mate. 👍👍👍
Yes that robobird is a joke! I saw a toy falcon strapped to a boat the other day in Shaldon - It was just fluttering around randomly, confined to a piece of string. I think something simple like that would work better to be honest ! See you tomorrow 👍👍👍
Hey Bill was good to see the Mayflower again thank you. Shame Andy had a wet boat trip but you just have to make the most of it don't you. Thanks for the bridge footage. I didn't realise the bridge twisted as well as tilted. You mentioned Bill Millins and Pegasus bridge in Normandy. I know a few years back we visited Dawlish museum and they had his original bagpipes on display but not sure if they are there now. I believe he lived in Dawlish before he passed away
Hi Janice. Yes rotten weather for Andy indeed. Like I said, I myself didn't even know that bridge opened! Let alone 'Tilted & Turned'... Dawlish Museum is on my list for a visit at some point - Provided they will allow me to film of course... 👍
Rather a late reply due to laptop having a mare - neighbour just come to the rescue so here I am! Enjoyed the video as always and like the snippet on the lift-up bridge at Exeter.
Thanks Bill for sharing the bridge , it was great fun though, especially with the rain and it’s a wonder I filmed it , as I couldn’t stop laughing. Great video and plenty of humour, your videos are a pleasure Andy
I've never worn a coat here in 16 years, we have 2nd day of winter with 31c...like the moving bridge, there's one at Weymouth that opens all the time to th rear of the river and main harbour...
Ah nice bridge, drove over it a few times but could never have guessed it would open like that. Shame for the people on the boat, was chucking it down. 😢
Hay, I was watching this video, while running a bath. Waiting to see the Steam engine... the bath ran cold!....D'oh!.... but the hot water was spare,😊😊 and plenty more in the hot water tank, enough to power a small steam engine. 😂
I know mate - I did catch it. Was hoping to get to the station for 1.49pm but on my way it changed to 10 mins earlier ! So I grabbed a shot from the bridge instead! You'll see that later tonight, once Ive caught its return journey, hopefully closer up! 👍👍👍
Hi bill did you have chance to have a look at polysteps about the parking and launching of boats If you can't do it could you point me in the right direction to find that information please thank you
I have done it for you mate, but my videos are exactly a week behind - Let me see if I can tell you what day I shot it... Tuesday! So next Tuesdays video, right at the start - I filmed the parking charges and the signage in full that you can pause & read. So you'll see that in 3 days time 👍👍👍
No idea mate. I gave up trying to keep count long ago - Weird thing ism, that a lot of it doesn't make sense. I can walk out to polly steps, across Shaldon bridge, get the ferry, walk around town etc, and Ive done about 7000 steps. But today, I have just walked on the seawall really, and currently have a step count of over 13,000 ! But prob on average 4/5 miles a day - I think 👍👍👍
