This car has done very well, although the rear end had more rust than my Hilux the inner chassis for a 28yr old car was good so welding to it wasn't that bad. I think we add nearly 1-2tons of water which is like having 10-15 people in it but even when full the doors open and all is good. Loving this car and this project.
Just to clarify i love E30's they are my favourite car so picked one which was rusty and not mint, this car does look good through the lens but when your stood in front of it its not as good. theres a lot of rust at the rear and the engine is pouring out oil. But if you going to make something you start with something with style in the words of Doc Brown talking about the Delorean in BTTF
I'm guessing you dont pay the water bills, or any bills at home. Because filling this car up wouldn't really add that much extra to your bill. Maybe $10 give or take depending on where you live. Possibly even less
Brilliant, love the suspension upgrade! The team and I always drop everything to watch the latest Furze video! PS: Just got your book! Thanks for sending us a copy early!
Colin, just realised that what you have done here is basically halfway to an amphibious car? seal up the engine bay and put on a propeller somewhere and i think it should work... just an idea for a future video ;) keep it up, your videos are awesome :)
the most impressive thing about this video to me was the idea of literally doubling the suspension by welding 2 intertwined springs together. I wish I could do that to my car.
Leviathan431 if he didnt bought it, maybe people could have restored it. It was rusted yes, but not hard to restore. Especialy a fucking convertible. That sad
I don't get why the first question people think about is "is x,y,z legal?". Must be real boring living your life like that. Even the most law abiding people break some laws by accident, just don't be a knob. A good moral code is far more valuable than just being a robot, following laws and rules.
Square Squid Studios And so did no less than 173 others. But almost three quarters of a million ppl have already watched this fine video so ...blah blah bla ad naseum
KFC Warrior That's an awfully stereotypical answer, maybe some new BMW drivers are a bit snooty and don't give a damn about anyone else on the road, but most people who drive older BMW's are really cool car enthusiasts. Sorry you got stuck driving a Prius.
KFC Warrior im fine using 325i M-Tech1 with 2.7 Stroker kits as daily cars, 100% no rust in all body pannels, and this cars have a lots of cool things you don't get in new cars today.. OBC-standard kray-manual sunroof-powerseats "optional from new"-25% Diff lock "original from new" and a lot more..
bro how do you just know everything? like engineering, mechanics, mathematics, and you have so much inginuity and creativity it’s crazy like how you know EVERYTHING!?
Sure its an amazing car but please consider that 1. It was already a lemon and 2. Colin turned it into something really cool before it gets scrapped. You guys need to chill the hell out.
xXFeralArtsXx I'm assuming you are a troll since you keep replying in this way to comments, however if you are so keen on safety then this may not be the channel for you
My go to filler is expanding foam, it fills everywhere. I made a similar matrix for my truck which ran at 65°C so took forever to heat up, so, I made the matrix and channelled the heater flow onto the floor, put tons of insulation down and a new mesh floor under the drivers feet because before I did this I drove with a blanket over my legs during the winter.
