I worked with my dad for 15 years and I look back now and truly appreciate the time with him. He died in 1986 and I really miss him. Enjoy the friction and frustration, you will later for sure.

Nice work. Boy, Steven, us guys and our fathers.... regardless of any tension or friction, acknowledge the love and cherish the time. My Dad passed a bit over a decade ago... and while I miss him, I am SO glad that we had worked out nearly all that stuff before he did.
I actually like that you are putting your videos in a segmented sequence. Yeah okay we see that some things are already done but you haven't put the video out yet on how you got there, but you will and that's why I really enjoy your videos. I don't really care for the ones that show 16 different things but none of them are are complete on how you got there. So you already put the mini split video out and your drywall had already been up and done, who cares? Well I guess some do but I don't. Heck your Dad's videos are weeks sometimes months behind. It doesn't matter. It's content that will be enjoyed by faithful followers! Anyway, can't wait to see what you have planned for the next video! Take care and God bless! ❤
Steve, those torsion springs above the door are a lot safer than the ones that travel along side the rails through the lift cables. When I had to replace mine,due to fatigue, they are more of a challenge, but I made 'winders' from 1/2 inch rebar 2ft. long and ground down the ends to 7/16th so they fit into the winder. And stored them above the bulkhead for future use when needed.
The garage looks great it was nice to see your dad in the video he has a ton of knowledge i enjoy watching his channel i even learn a few things lol but the only thing i would change is raise the sensors on each side of garage door to the bumper height of vehicle so if you back out and the door is not all the way up the bumper breaks the beam not the tires on the vehicle then its to late the bumper damage the door i learned that the hard way my garage door guy told me that FWIW
Looking great Steven and nice to see Tom giving you a hand. Is your floor heated? I'm sure it gets really cold there and as you get older your bones tell you to turn up the heat. You Tubers need to help eachother by spreading the word so that people like yourself can get more subscribers.So far this job is coming right along and I'm sure when completed will look super. Hope your family is healthy and your new one is growing and without any issues.
I noticed the bracket holding the back of the track on the ceiling is going front to back . i have always seen that bracket on the ceiling going side to side to allow for an angle brace from the side of the bracket on the ceiling angled down to a spot on the downward bracket holding the back of the track if that makes sense ! It gives the track rigidity ! And would keep it from spreading apart if it were hit for some reason !
In Illinois I had a new insulated door put up and an opener which mounted on the side next to the door. I didn't want the standard opener and it was battery back up. My 2 doors in my building are insulated, one of them i think someone ran into it. No openers on them. Previous people painted over the glass which i scrapped off to let light in plus beable to see out.
I was going back and forth on which style opened but ended up on the traditional over head mount mainly for financial reasons haha thanks for watching!
Steve, I'd be careful with that manual lock with a garage door opener. If its locked and someone attempts to open the door, it could damage the opener or worse. I've always just left them off. With the opener engaged its just as good as a lock.
I noticed my garage door installer runs a zip screw through the handle of the mechanical lock to prevent it from getting locked, and preventing the electric opener from operating.
I watch all you videos, but, I noticed last week that I was not subscribed. I fixed it but just saw today that I wa once again unsubscribed. How many more is this happening to.
