Thank you! We actually just finished our tests on the Lakeridge. You can find the contextual review here - naplab.com/mattress-reviews/kirkland-signature-lakeridge-review/ We shot the video review this week, so it's with my editor now. It'll probably be a few weeks before I get the edited video published.
@@NapLabReviews Ok that is odd.. I bought a Lakeridge and it was hard as a brick.. I had to return ASAP because I couldn't sleep on it after a week... The FIRM PT S&F in store was softer.. granted it was likely more broken in. I also bought a Ridgecrest II firm. (you guys rate as 7). which was MUCH MUCH softer (more of a true medium, akin to the satisfied II). I'm now convinced the local Sealy's that make these are high variance per regional factory. Theres really no other explanation to this. The reviews on costco site seem to reflect the same.. I've tried lots of mattress'.. but this one was honestly a brick (My Orlando FL copy) relative to the average medium. PS thanks for opening it up! I wanted to see inside.
@@jaszjsz That is indeed very strange. It could be as you say, high variance based on regional factory. Or it could also be just a single defective mattress. Seeing so many others on Costco complain about the same really makes me question what's going on with their quality control.
@@NapLabReviews I wonder if there is layer/foam variance per regional sealy? It's just SO confusing since the Ridgecrest II was WAY more comfortable for me as a new out of wrapper bed. It felt softer to me.. lol The only other thing that makes sense is that my body doesn't take well to the "Intellicoil" setup Stearns uses on ESTATE+ beds..1504-2044 double interlock coil. The Ridgecrest is a standard 1072 count 8" setup (Like newer Studio S&F). PS: I've been talking to someone from Idaho and he had the same perspective about his Washington made copy of the Lakeridge... So maybe both of us just don't take well to coil count? Nothing really makes sense in the mattress industry :\
@@the1andonly662 Carver has the same score of 6.8 for company - naplab.com/mattress-reviews/sealy-posturepedic-carver-review/ If you're referring to the score in the older video, that was based on our older scoring system, which has sense been updated. In April of 2024 we updated our scoring system from version 1.1 to 1.2. These changes impacted every score on site, with all scores going down, as it is more difficult to score the highest scores with our 1.2 system. This page has a complete breakdown of all of our changes - naplab.com/how-we-test-mattresses/explaining-our-2024-updates/ When we made these updates we were able to update all of our scores on NapLab.com to the new 1.2 scoring system. However, videos on our RU-vid channel published prior to the score updates we weren’t able to update, so those videos have the original 1.1 scores.
