Hello I tried Linux Inkscape 1.3.2 did not work. I am following with video subtitle translation and it would be easier if we could see which keys he pressed in the image. How are two images formed in video 2:21? When I paste the svg object, I get 1 image and when I drag it left and right, it does not automatically place and there are not two. I haven't gone to other stages yet.
Thanks for another great tutorial. You could show more of the repeating pattern and how it can be controlled (spaced, rotated etc.) using the node tool and dragging the control points (small square, cross & circle).
I am always getting an error which says " Internal Error and will close now " when i click Create from template. Any pointers or did you faced this issue any time
Rakhi, my inkscape was doing that too after I downloaded. I did a search and it seems to be an issue with the newest version. I saw where someone said that the older 1.0.2 worked, so I uninstalled tver 1.1.1 and installed 1.0.2. It no longer crashes, but for some crazy reason, my preview never clears or updates when I delete the template pattern and add my own images. So I'm still trying to figure that issue out.
Great video...do you need to uncheck antialiasing after dpi or is it if the repeat doesn't look right because in your last video you said you didn't have to?
Antialiasing helps keep the edges of vectors sharp. For repeat patterns it sometimes leaves a white line between tiles. Just do it before export as png. Remember to turn it back on when designing other things, or the jagged lines will appear.
By half drop, the first line is horizontal and the second is staggered thus creating a diagonal effect. Does this video not satisfy what you are asking? Or is it something different?
