Will! When I hear you and Sean play it reminds me of a beautiful album by Lenny Breau and clarinetist Brad Terry, called “Living Room Tapes”. Today I listened to a podcast of you on “Happy Hour Harmonica Podcast” and you refer to Brad Terry as a friend and influence. Then it clicked that I remember a RU-vid of you performing with him way back, which is wonderful too. Seriously, it would be a great gift to the world if you and Sean would do another duo project like this maybe as an album like the “Living-room Tapes”. Something about the simplicity of a duet, that brings Silence in as a 3rd player, the space between you. Especially with such a superb player like Sean. 😎🙏
Awesome playing from both sides!! I like the jazz style guitar work with the finger picking. The harmonica playing is soulful and dreamy. Thanks for the inspiration.
Beautifully played, Sean and Will. Makes me a little misty, since it brings back memories of my mother who played harmonicas. Love the music! Sean, outstanding backup...Tom
Terrific guys! Especially for an "impromptu" session. I've been playing and singing this tune for several years, and I now see more possibilities than I realized. BTW, Will, I've been working my way through your book on Jazz Standards for a while (actually for an embarrassingly long time, but who cares?), and am finding it challenging but still within my skill limits (just barely). Thanks for putting it out there.
Thanks you! In this video I am playing a Suzuki "Fabulous" 16 hole harmonica with a brass comb. To me, it sounds better than a plastic comb, but it is quite heavy!!!
Great instrument! I have a heavy comb on Seydel and have troubles with my elbow... - I guess it is because of it... May I have one last question, please? How many hours a day do you practice? :)
Oh, come on, tell me - the average. I´m going to count: you are the gifted one, I´m not - so If I will play 4 times more than you, I would be half as good as you (which is enough)... So how many hours a day should I play? :)
Cant really say an average, I can go a week without touching the thing, then play all day for s couple of day. I also carry it with me, so I often practice waiting for the subway or sitting in the park. This will promise you, the more you play, the better you be!!! @@fouKACKA
