Damn, Sean Lee was so good. He had HOF potential but his injuries just kept him off the field too much. Still, I'll always love Lee. Dude was the heart of our defense for a while.
One quote sums up Lee. “Sean is one of the most instinctive linebackers in the league, maybe as instinctive as probably anybody I could think of. He’s got a great nose for the ball, has a good anticipation in both the running game and the passing game, shows up in the right place at the right time, just really knows what’s happening a lot of times before it occurs. He’s got 12 career interceptions [at time of quote]. That’s a lot for a linebacker, especially given the number of games he’s played”. - Bill Belichick
I remember watching the 2010 draft and getting Sean and Dez in the same draft I was hyped for both picks. Enjoy the rest of your 2nd life with your family and jesus mr lee.
Injuries ruin everything! One of the best to play the position. Thanks for the memories Sean Lee, Enjoy your retirement. Maybe our future LB'er coach?????
He was a running back in high school and you see that experience and instinct on every one of his interception returns. Even though his career was short, he is a candidate for Cowboys ring of honor.
Unlike 80 percent of defenders in the NFL today, if it hit his hands, Sean Lee was catching it, and if he got his hands on you, you were going down. Some pretty good vision and cuts on these INT returns too lol. God, its a shame his body couldnt hold up. Great player.
Legend on and off the field. Gonna miss seeing you out there on Sunday, won't be the same. I guess my Lee jersey is a classic now, thanks for all the memories general Lee! #dc4l
Sean was similar to Luke Kuechly (Just not as recognized throughout the league because of more injuires throughout his career compared to Luke). Both were one of the smartest linebackers in the game and either of them had the potential to be one of the greatest linebacker of all time if not for injuries.
What a great player. I believe he played running back as well in addition to defense in high school. It definitely shows. I feel like he 15 interceptions in that short clip. Always around the ball.
@@DC4L99 I remember when he was at Penn State and teamed up with Dan Connor and Paul Pusluszny . They were also running backs in high school. That was a cool video you posted.
My fave combo at linebacker will always be Bruce Carter and Sean Lee loved the whole Bruce Lee combo we had oh and Rolondo McClain :( 2014 was our year man
Sean Lee definitely is a Cowboy that deserved to win a Superbowl. He put his heart into every single play!! My favorite plays of him were his fast backfield tackles for a lost, especially against Darren Sproiles, that dude was a shifty runner no lie🔥 but Lee would bust his shit up before he got started 🔥🔥🔥
The general of the cowboys defense. Fantastic leadership and morale igniter for the cowboys. I will definitely miss seeing #50 fly up and down the field. A beer raised high for the man. Thank you for the crazy reaction to your picks and tackles. 😔
God I would've loved to have seen Micah get tips and advice from Sean Lee. I sincerely hope that he comes back as a coach for us in the near future. Specifically as a Linebacker coach. Will forever be one of my favorite players of all time.
Only if he could have stayed healthy man what his career would have been but he was still a beast when he was out their ! Thanks for the memories and hope u have a smooth transition in 2 retirement my bro hopefully we will see u on the field again at some level peace!

@@DC4L99 sweet! I have a Score which is Panini brand Sean Lee. Love it. I always loved him, but, we found ourselves playing back ups because of him alot of times
People keep saying he’s “Instinctive, smart” etc…..what about the fact that he was an amazing athlete. Dude covered receivers in open space like a Saftey or Cb and filled running lanes like a 1980s MLB, he was a freak of nature
Played with no F's given but the injuries slowed him down if he never had that issues no telling how bad this guy could have been...Cowboys nation thanks you for giving a 110 percent
Sean Lee is my one and only Dallas Jersey. He was a class act on and off the field. Injuries crippled (what should have been) his HOF career in my opinion.
I don't know an athlete that plays harder than General Lee! Unfortunately, injuries kept him off the field. I would love to see him come back and coach. DCFL!
The General!!!!! How much better defense was when The General was on the field. Absolutely a baller!!!!! Enjoy your time Sean Lee, definitely one of the best LB's ever!!!!!!
Sean Lee's cleats are gonna be extremely hard to fill, cause he not ONLY set the tone at the linebacker position, but for the entire defense as a whole. Really sucks to know injuries robbed him and the defense of much more, cause when he was healthy, couldn't nobody tell that defense NAY-THIIIINNNG!!! That defense was EASILY in the top 5 the second Sean Lee stepped out on the field. And it didn't hold much water if the opposing QB called an audible...he had their number from the beginning to end of pretty much each play, as he could make adjustments in the middle OF a play, as this highlight reel proved. 💯💯💯
