I was in Sean’s math class in 8th grade. Even back then he was the nicest guy. His mother took him out of our school and he went to a boarding school the next year. I hope I see him again one day!
That’s nice to hear 😊 I’m glad him and Julian are close too. Both went through hell and back and seem very well-rounded. Also, both are musically talented (no surprise.) IMO both are underrated.
I saw Sean at a grocery store in Los Angeles yesterday. I told him how cool it was to meet him in person, but I didn’t want to be a douche and bother him and ask him for photos or anything. He said, “Oh, like you’re doing now?” I was taken aback, and all I could say was “Huh?” but he kept cutting me off and going “huh? huh? huh?” and closing his hand shut in front of my face. I walked away and continued with my shopping, and I heard him chuckle as I walked off. When I came to pay for my stuff up front I saw him trying to walk out the doors with like fifteen Milky Ways in his hands without paying. The girl at the counter was very nice about it and professional, and was like “Sir, you need to pay for those first.” At first he kept pretending to be tired and not hear her, but eventually turned back around and brought them to the counter. When she took one of the bars and started scanning it multiple times, he stopped her and told her to scan them each individually “to prevent any electrical infetterence,” and then turned around and winked at me. I don’t even think that’s a word. After she scanned each bar and put them in a bag and started to say the price, he kept interrupting her by yawning really loudly.
Smokker he needs to not be rude..his dad was famous but a bit arrogant..and now Sean has become arrogant. It is what it is. I was a Beatles fan from the very beginning but John was quite arrogant. He even said that the Beatles were more popular than Jesus Christ..not a good comment to make in '64 or ANY time for that matter..
Sara Turner it's so odd for me.... I definitely see his father in him, but I also see his mother. Such a strange appearance lol to be both people at once.
Sara Turner it’ll be because he’s male so he will look more like his father. My other half is half Asian (Thai) and as he gets old and matured he looks more and more like his father too. But he still looks like his mom in aspects aswell. Genetics is wonderful!
I think Sean is the best son any celebrity dad can ever have. On John's 80th birthday, Sean made the whole Empire State Building in the color blue as John's favourite color was Blue.
Met Sean numerous times on the streets here in NYC. Always the nicest guy. Always friendly. And I love his music with Les Claypool. I think they did two albums together. Great stuff.
Sean Lennon is such a sweet and gentle soul. I love both Sean and Julian Lennon. Turned out to be very humble and kind men even though they were surrounded by the public eye💙💙
John had a less-than-sweet childhood. His father abandoned the family and his Mom gave him to her sister Mimi to raise. But then God sent him Paul, George and Ringo, and his amazing gifts could shine!! And John gave us Julian and Sean, two of the most talented and sweet men on planet earth. Of course his murder should never have happened, but wouldn’t we all change that if we could.
He seems like a decent, kind man. Being a good guy is so tough to do be in the world he was forced into, his mother and father (while he could) seem to have done a great job raising him.
holy shit, i can't believe all the negativity, and how people are so quick to just tear Sean apart....the guy is just trying to become someone. , find his own way....holy!! The guy got cheated big time in his childhood.....by the lunatic waiting outside his apartment to kill his dad...can you imagine how devastating that must have been to have been told your father was murdered just outside your home? let him whine, cry, do whatever it is that he wants...yes, he's probably well off financially, but it's not his fault!! He's lost out on so much by losing his dad at the young age of 5. I wouldn't want to know how that feels, especially being as close as they were. The one thing i loved about this interview is that he wasn't questioned to death about his father...it was focused on Sean, just as it should be. Let's find out who Sean is! We all know who John is ( and let me just say that in my opinion he was THE musical genius of all time) but let's focus on Sean, and see what he has to offer....let's give him a chance and let's stop all the hatred and bashing....
I agree!! But, look how poor Julian was treated!!! He didn't get to see his Father much at all!! Julian was treated Horrible!!! Wonder "WHO" was the cause of it...?!?!?!
@@melissamissileonard5047 Julian didn't get no chance at all with his father at all and John could have made that happen but he didn't want nothing to do with Julian like he did with Sean.
There is so much of his dad's charisma and likeability in him. People attack Yoko, but she obviously did a fantastic job raising him to become the kind, lovely man he so obviously is. That he was robbed of his father by that nonentity is the cruellest injustice.
i take that back.......JULIAN IS A GREAT MAN...A FAR GREATER MAN THAN HIS FATHER AND YOKO WHO DIDN'T CARE THAT MUCH ABOUT HIM.....well.Sean said, he didn't like how people compare him to John...(well in such words) SHAME ON YOU SEAN..it was YOUR FATHER WHO MADE YOU and that allowed YOU to write tunes and INHERIT HIS TALENT....you sound resentful of it all? GROW UP AND GO BACK TO JAPAN WITH YOUR SELFISH MOTHER YOKO......................Julian is far greater without you..THANKFULLY
Sean belongs to my generation. I'm very proud to have him here with us. I respected his father a lot. I'm not that much younger than Sean but I remember The Beatles and John Lennon's political views and sense of free spirit.
Thankyou Sharon Osbourne & The Sharon Osbourne Show. This is the first time ever that I'm watching Sean Lennon In Interview. Its so amazing how Julian & Sean Lennon followed in their father's musician talent. Tuned in from Liverpool 🇯🇪 UK 🇬🇧 👏👏👏 ❤
My uncle met Sean a few years back at a club that he works at in LA. He helped Sean set up his equipment with his band. He said Sean was a really nice, easygoing, friendly guy.
yes she inducted because of an oriental legend that the son born the same day will take the spirit and talents of the father. After 3 miscarriages I find this at least IRRESPONSIBLE.
it is hard to live in the shadow of a parent..... he is doing a great job doing his OWN THING! good for him.... it's hard carving your own path. love you dear Sean.
It's funny how in the video he mentions how annoying it is to keep hearing that he looks like his dad, and in the comments all you see is OMG, he looks like his dad!
One of the nicest things I have seen in awhile. Happy Birthday to Sharon and Sean. Sharon has always been a nice lady and it’s so nice to see the roses and the heart felt message from her husband Ozzy. Sean’s s nice guy and he looks a lot like his Dad and his step Brother Julian. Great show!
I have met Sean and he is a sweet natured funny and endearing down to earth artist his new music is etherial and layered I spoke with him and shared with hi. it was very much like a dream his life is great and I am very proud of him he is a true artist and a gentle soul all on his won merit
what is wrong with so many of you?...this guy didn't ask for any of this but he has a right to pursue what he likes whether the haters approve or not...i can't say i am familiar with his music or a fan but i like to sing dance write etc whether anyone is listening or watching or whatever he has an audience even if you aren't in it. leave him be to pursue it. people will approach him and exploit him but that doesn't mean that by practicing at music he is exploiting his genes. and as far as Sharon's birthday acknowledgements, why not? again, why does this make people hate so? i don't get it
Agreed. Which is why it's surprising that she married Ozzy, who has a wild man image, does drugs, is / was promiscuous and has associations with the dark side. Opposites attract in this instance ?
She seems so self-absorbed, fake & superficial to me. Especially when she sucker threw that water on that MEGAN HAUSERMAN! I support Megan, not the privileged gold-digger that is Sharon O. Peace.
Sean looks like his father on some ways, but on some ways I also think that he looks like his mother. So I think Sean's look is the combination between his mother and his father.
Sean is fabulous! So pleased to get to see and know him a bit! He seems so sweet. He said that birthday cake and wishes was the nicest thing! Sending him blessings and a long, healthy, happy Life! ❤
It's reassuring to just look at him, because he's the last thing we have of John on this planet, not to invalidate his distinct self but he's still his son. God bless.
Odd how most of the former Beatles sons look SO MUCH like their fathers. Sure, as Sean said ; "Who doesn't look like their dads " ? But with them their genetic matches are uncanny.
ThankYou So Much Sean Lennon Sharon Osbourne Show. Klop Said * We Are Liverpool *.. ..And You Are Our World 🌎 In One Place Sharon Osbourne Sean Lennon. Respect From England 🏴 🇬🇧 UK.. ThankYou ❤ To Our Japanese Friends 🧡
Sean Lennon is a nice guy. When I was 16 years old I snuck into a lounge in SoHo with a friend and he was there. I was overly excited and asked him to exchange emails with me. He wasn't mean, he just said jokingly: "Who let this little kid in here?" He asked me what I liked to drink and I said Jack Daniels and he had someone get me a bottle and he kindly shooed me away. He didn't have body guards or snobby people with him. Yes, he was in a roped off section with plushy couches, but he was nice. He was very polite and shook my hand and said nice to meet you too. So everyone STFU with the rude comments.
In the last part of John's life, Sean was his focus. He wanted to be a real Dad, and started to build bridges with Teenage Julian. He stopped outside his home to say goodnight to Sean who was 5. He was shot dead before he had the chance to do so.
Farah S John actually tried to make it better in the last year/years, Cynthia (John’s first wife) wrote a book and she tells it there, I really recommend it, it’s really good, it’s called just “John”
He has & always had a chance to do other things besides launch his life solely into music. So my empathy capacity has shrunk considerably since hearing & seeing the Julian interview. Sorry 'bout that, folks! Peace & Love, Cav in OR.
What a great lady. such a professional, so glad she interviewed Sean and made this whole interview about Sean and not his dad! Good on you Sharon! Awesome!
Sean is obviously John's son, John's soul shines ALL the way through, fuck you haters, he's very articulate and down to earth, i love his attitude in this interview, and i can't believe some people are such scum that they piss comments on youtube, you narcissistic fucks, getting off on bashing people for no fucking reason. Look how polite and real this guy is... how can you call him anything else but a good guy with a good message? you arrogant fucks. LOVE YOU SEAN! Keep doing you man!
Great, intellegent, talented funny likeable guy! Seriously, check out this dudes music, it's great. I feel terrible that he gets so much hate from people who are STILL mad at his mom, AND even take it out on him.
I saw Sean & Yoko in Oakland, CA around this time, in 2010, as part of the 'Noise Pop" festival. They were great, it was exciting seeing them. it confirmed for me that Sean is a real talent, and cool guy. and it was amazing what Yoko could still do at her age! And I've continued enjoying Sean's music as the years have passed. his first album, 1998's Into the Sun, made the strongest impression on me. It holds a very special memory for me. He's learned to sing better since then, and he's definitely had good albums since, but he initially came onto the scene with a unique songwriting and singing style that in a few ways was ahead of its time.
I as a musician would deeply like to see Sean just let loose from the deepest part of his imagination so that he could produce an incredible record that would be considered one of the best records of all-time. I think he can do it. It's all a matter of Sean REALLY wanting to go there mentally and he should just throw himself into the project without caring about comparisons and being completely authentic to the soul of his spirit. His dad would be so proud if he did that intensely
My mother linda and i share Oct. 9th birthdays with all of you. Ive known my whole life its not coincidence. But synchronicity. I feel pretty special out here in the world because of it. Happy belated birthday Sharon and Sean
I met John Lennons uncle in Liverpool in the 90's...I sat down and had a brief chat with him and he looked like a 70 year old John...Very surreal meeting...
