We're going over the actual trade for Montreal Canadiens forward Sean Monahan, as he's heading over to the Winnipeg Jets.

Mony was a 30 goal man at one time. He’s on a good team now and he should be motivated to be on a contender, and he’s healthier now than the last several years. He could be more productive than anyone is giving him credit for.

The jets have Montreal’s 2rd pick not to mention the jets kept all of their prospects lambert ,mcgroarty,lucsuis, heinola is an NHL defenceman as well !

Jets got a good player, great teammate, easy contract for… almost nothing… a 30th pick has about 10% chances of making it in the NHL. Hugues might use that in a package at the draft. Disappointing.

Bro I think it's the opposite. Monahan is going to be playing with way better players now. His scoring I think has better chance to improve than dip

I agree. Playing with Ehlers, and Perfetti you would think he'll have plenty of opportunities. Especially because he'll be often coming on the ice after a deeper roster has caused the opponent to be more tired... Some guys can look better the more minutes that they get - PLD seems to need to be the central focus of a poor team, in order to look good, but I don't think that Monahan needs to get all the glory in order to get his engine going.

Monahan makes the Jets a legit playoffs team but not contenders. They'll need more. Hughes was shrewd to ride de hype wave Lindholm's trade created. A 2nd pick was more likely otherwise.

Basically its just 1st the 3rd is if we win cup and be happy give it away if that happened. As for his points they will only go upbyour bugging he will be 2nd line with Ehlers+Perfetti will probably get pp time and important situations for faceoffs. Even if hes not on ice with those 2 montreal doesnt have Connor,Morrissey,Scheifele,Hellebuyck,Villardi,Namestnikov,Nino,Iafallo to play with even defence Demelo,Dillon,Pionk,Heinola if we get a Tanev or more depth. I could also see pp1/pp2 have 4 forwards like Toronto does instead a D.
