I think his fighting career will be similar to Stylebender's. Critics will continue to underestimate him. Finishing a top 15 ranked fighter, who has a wrestling background, will definitely make a statement to the division. O'Malley will definitely be champion. He's young and improving quickly. Might be the first male fighter to win and defend two weight classes simultaneously.

I am a huge omalley fan. He definitely has as much or more talent than anyone in the game, and the talent to be a champion. His striking is unmatched. The thing we dont know, is if he has that inner dog, that is needed to run the beasts in his weight class. Superior talent will get you through some of the top guys. but there will be a couple fights where he is gonna get hurt bad, and need to dig deep to survive. And one thing i have been seeing lately with him, is he is getting really attracted to his celebrity status, and hanging out/partying with other celebs/influencers. Obviously he doesnt do anything like that in camp. But i still think all of that shit can be distraction and get to his head. In most cases, to get to the top you gotta live and breath fighting and be insanely disciine. We seen with too many fighters, their downfall coincides with when they start wilding out. But if being a champ, isnt as important to him as setting up his family finanacially and having fun, then more power to him. Only he can dictate whats important to him and his family.

Sean Waits to Long Eddie was standing in the center over stepping with his head up and hands down , This Fight showed nothing except for sean front kicks which are actually his Best weapon, Eddie landed to big Right hands when Sean was against the cage . Even to this Day Sean had showed a Lack of Knowledge of what to do against the cage , he gets trapped easy by opponent's. I didn't think Sean was the best then and Now i still think he's green and not Physical enough for a top 5 fighter

I watch all ur videos but never really picked up the habit of liking and commenting cause those help the creator. I remembered today :) (consider this as a reason to ask for likes and give people a reason to comment like asking questions, I think these are subconscious triggers for us to take action and most of the time I actually remember to click like when I hear the creator remind me). EDIT: I just realized you post your comments here. I guess that way works too but I'd recommend actually including questions in the video itself. You have great content, you just need the boost from the algorithm (more likes, comments, shares).
@MMASportsMaster
@MMASportsMaster 4 года назад
That’s great advice. I don’t really like to ‘’fish for likes’’ too much but at the same time, you are right. It is subconscious sometimes and a reminder is not a bad idea. Anyways, thanks for the support!

I think what Suga does is that instead of having a quick take off or acceleration at the beginning of his attacks, he waits until the last second before the moment of impact, then he tenses up whatever part of his body he's attacking with. A perfect example of controlled speed. And a way to conserve energy.

Can you please make a video about how you analyze fights, or how you developed the skill of analyzing striking technique by watching fights? Many people try to do it, even hardcore MMA fans who train, but very few such as yourself are able to do it effectively. How can I gain these insights?
@MMASportsMaster
@MMASportsMaster 4 года назад
buckdich1 To be honest, I just spend hours watching sequences. I pause them, I slow them down, I rewatch them over and over again, trying to focus on a different thing everytime, without forgetting the totality of what’s going on. I write everything on paper. The main thing that works for me is to watch frame by frame. You will pick up things that are very hard to see at full speed.
@buckdich1
@buckdich1 4 года назад
@@MMASportsMaster That's very helpful, thanks. Do you train, or study any theory on striking/martial arts to supplement your analysis? E.g. I imagine it would be hard to break down someone like Stephen Thompson's striking if you haven't trained karate, or at least know very little about it, unless you really wanted to reinvent the wheel and painstakingly figure everything out from scratch. How would you approach that?
@MMASportsMaster
@MMASportsMaster 4 года назад
buckdich1 To answer your question : I don’t consider myself as an expert of anything. But I think I’m good with movement. I understand sports. I understand attacks, defense, and set-ups. The more I analyse sports, the more I understand set-ups. To be honest with you, I don’t have any advanced knowledge in Karate or jiu-jitsu or any martial art. Of course, I know the basics, I know techniques, and I know some tricks, but that’s pretty much it. I just watch every video there is on mma. I want to learn more from experienced people and I’m planning on doing just that, but for now, I am just like any huge mma fan with a decent sports background. I don’t have any knowledge that would qualify me as an expert. Now to really answer your question : If I wanted to analyse Wonderboy’s striking, I would watch his fights, watch his finishes, and freeze frame everytime he goes for one particular kick. And then I would ask myself : why did he go for that kick at that particular time? What made him think that he could land that kick? And then I would look at all the times he feinted that kick, but didn’t throw it, and I would ask myself: Why did he feint? What was he trying to do? And I would do the same process for every technique, every aspect of his striking, including the threats that his opponent brings ( to understand his philosophy ). Listen, bro : I’m not a freakin genius. I think I’m special, but so are you. Just the fact that you ask me these questions shows me that you have something that no one else has. You have to find what that is, and then : hard work. But if I could give you one trick, and one trick only, to analyse mma fights, I would tell you this : Try to find patterns. Try to find sequences that match each other, that look similar in some way. And then, the most important step : try to find the differences between those similar sequences. Try to find what made a particular sequence different than the previous one. Try to find the key of what happened and why it happened that way. That’s what I try to do when I see things : Differences inside patterns. Having said all of that, remember that I’m just a normal dude and I have no advanced mma knowledge. However, I try to gain maximum knowledge wherever I can find it before I publish anything. I really hope my answer can help you a little bit.
@MMASportsMaster
@MMASportsMaster 4 года назад
buckdich1 I realize I didn’t answer all of your questions : No, I don’t really train martial arts, although I have and I plan on restarting after Covid. I study a lot but my sources probably aren’t the best (youtube). But Like I said, I watch every video there is on mma and that completements my analysis in some way. However, I have confidence in myself and in what I see, so I try to concentrate on that. I’m always open to new opinions though.
@buckdich1
@buckdich1 4 года назад

I want to know more about Sean’s kickboxing background. I know he played a lot of sports growing up. He never wrestled never did bjj prior to that was just some skinny little squid. I watched his early fights and he was always a natural its very impressive how far he’s come with no real championships or accolades under his belt. It seems like he just hopped into kickboxing was very lanky long and unorthodox for the weight so he had success. Much like Jones he had a unique build for the sport. I also think much like Connor in the early days he hasn’t been matched with any elite wrestlers. One because it’s not exciting so why put him in that kind of fight and two there are more than enough fighters out there that just want to stand and bang. I heard him commentate one of his early fights and the one he was supposed to fight a tough stocky wrestler but the kid got hurt and pulled out. I think he’s got the biggest reach in the weight and his best attributes are he probably has crazy ADD so he’s got a non stop motor which his boys say they had to get him to smoke after training to calm down lol. You pair that motor with his eagerness to learn and his length at the weight and it’s a problem! Also he’s just weirdly athletic and has worked his ass off. Once u get in those top ten fights it’s a different game the high level bjj n wrestling match that striking. They have to build him up still pick fun exciting fights as the rest of his game still progresses and if he KOs his way to a number 5-7 spot then like Connor u have to see how he does with the 135 Mendez type. A guy like Sterling is a terrible match up. I’ve heard him talk about beating Dom Cody Cejudo even but never Yan or Sterling or Moraes or even a guy like Rob Font steer clear from. Eddie is super washed. I’m looking at the rankings and Dom comes back loses to the champ and is all the way up at 13 that’s wild! Sean is 15 that’s nuts ot is murderers row from here cuz like he said u can’t fight backwards. The best bet right now is a Vera or Dong. Someone that is one spot from yours and will bang for an exciting fight. Maybe a Jimmie Rivera after that there is no breathing room u got Aldo Munhoz Assuncao Font Stammann before u even get to that Sandhagen Yan Column the division is stacked and with Aldo and Edgar coming down even more crazy very interesting to see where he goes from here.

who is the best striker in mma? i personally think it was mcgregor. his precision, power, distance management arsenal of tools. i think wonderboy is in consideration as well. hes prob the ebst point fighter, but doesnt quite have the power.

Wonder boy is the best striker currently. Dominick Cruz is a close second, then McGregor and Suga.
