Look I mean Russell should have renegotiated his contract if he cared about winning and maybe they could have got some better players I don't know but he did improve I mean there's a lot of people that want to say otherwise but his stats are way better than last year He's just not that guy you want when you're in a tight spot he can't perform all the time
when play calling is limited by the QBs inability to run the offense is not on the coach who is giving the QB plays he can run. But he runs out of the play and into sacks. He does make some great throws but it is always out of a broken play, and it is RW’s fault the play breaks down so soon.
@@tellitlikeitis1828nah it’s on Payton. He came in trying to make the man fail. I’m a bronco fan but I’m ok with Russ saying no. They gave him the contract and he signed it. How about Payton taking his salary down to 10 million. I bet he won’t do that
The coaching is why we we’re winning that and the refs calling pass interference automatic first down Denver, driving downfield but let’s be honest Russ throws a bit too many shity passes I appreciate the guy it’s not his fault he is getting old too I’m sure he’d be decent on another team tho. But at the end of the day if he retired then he would potentially get in the hall of fame but if he continues to play this post 💉’ed way then he could risk ruining what he is remembered for which was winning he should just retire and become a actor in movies
Sean Payton likes to do this thing called winning. This is a man’s game. Can’t take the heat get out the kitchen. As a Bronco fan I love hard coaching. This generation is SOFT. 🤦♂️ The team is trending up. Last time Broncos had 8 wins was the 2016-2017 season.
Comparing Russ best statistical year for Denver to Patrick Mahomes worst year in his career is laughable. Pretty sure he would do anything for broncos WR core
Agreed... and where's the part where Payton takes any responsibility for poor coaching on his part. Football is team sport and Payton has not put his team in position to win.
@@TheRanahanp Chiefs still won 11 games. That’s means is it’s a lot more to those wins than Qb performance. Andy has changed a lot of the offenses over the years to help maximize his all time great talent and he has a great tight end to call plays for. Sean still wants to run a stale ass offense from 13 years ago in the era of hybrid systems.
Asking a player to adjust his contract or be benched, but do coaches adjust their pay when they are losing? No, they are not giving up a penny of their guaranteed contracts
Questions: Who was the 2020 Walter Payton Man of the Year? Which coach was suspended for the entire 2012 season? What does this say about the character traits of these men? Will the Broncos be able to find someone better than RW next year?
Who spent more than 70% of his fans money, donated to his charity, to pay their friend to "run" the charity? Russ aint quite the "great christian" he pretends to be! Multimillionaire and he asks his fans to donate their hard earned money for a "good cause," and Russ uses most of their money to pay his friend an outrageous salary! Payton encouraged knocking players out of games, also fucked up, but I think Russ deserves a ban from the NFL for his charity fraud!
Bro if you gotta go to these advanced stats to make your point, you've failed. We are running basic offense, so easy to predict and Juedy drops as many as he catches. If you want to use advanced stats look at o line production
According to analytics we have a very highly rated oline and Russ is literally rated as leading the league in self inflicted pressures and sacks and how long he holds the ball. So boom there you go.
@gaberox1 First of all the analytics I’ve seen say otherwise and secondly I’ve watched the games. O-line sucks. Why do people bitch about McGlinchy if the line is so good
Russ was neva a three step drop qb… Peyton offense is predicated on a sole target each possession… we still see it here in the city… it’s his bullshit ass schemes which is the cause to their demise
I am going to go with poor drafts, losing three first round picks and two second round picks which means Denver didn’t have enough play makers. The issue is bigger than quarterback position and Wilson isn’t playing bad this season.
RUSS SUCKS... Broncos Need A Real QB. We All knew when Payton came in he was gonna want Alot of Control. So I don't blame him. He's a 15 year vet who's acting like a rookie and we're paying him 50 million to play like this... Garbage
Both Payton for not using Wilson the right way and calling plays that made no sense and Wilson for throwing some throws that also had no business being thrown and all those fuck’n fumbles at the wrong time
Sean Payton all day. Bad play calling all year, not using people to their strength, his attitude from the get go was sour. I agree whole heartedly with Ryan Clark.
Bad playcalling????, how the hell can u open up a playbook to a QB like that, he looked like shit under bum ass hackett and Sean made him looked better which still wasn't enough
Payton is either a hater or just plain prejudice…there “i “ said it!! He thought this man had too much money…. Being black he hated he couldn’t dull this man’s sparkle ✨
The take on Russell Wilson pass stats is laughable. Who calls the plays? Who calls runs all the time?? When you watch the fourth quarter he moves the ball just fine. It calls into question Payton if you actually think about it a bit.
@@philipsmashmouth8782 Payton wants his quarterbacks to check down when no one is open. 50% of the time makes sense when you have Jerry Jeudy and no real tight end. This same topic was just discussed on espn. You should look for the clip.
This yr russ's stats on par with the NFL's golden boy Mahomes . payton has been trying to get rid of russ from the jump. calling shit plays etc.. and who gets the blame, of course the QB does.
Kinda hard to push yardage when all the plays are called screens... the fact its so predictable is a problem. You think rus is making those plays? Adjustments aure, the the base play? Nah.
I still don't understand why the Broncos management traded the world away for Wilson.....you never hire a QB before you get a good coach....the Broncos have yet to find a great QB....
You're not shocked by the players because of their situations but can't understand a coach would be terrible to a guy he has made clear he didn't want. The man was winning games AFTER being threatened by the franchise and has been a class act the WHOLE time. Only to be embarrassed on the sideline and benched. And then u go out of your way to but the player down to defend the coach. Bruh....
The Broncos give up more QB pressures than any other team in the NFL, and I don't think it's close. Stidham is not going to change that. Feels like it will NEVER be meaningfully addressed.
Are you watching Russ panic in the pocket after missing 1 read then run around, get sacked, or fumble? That leads to a lot of sacks too. The o line isn’t that bad actually. They can’t block for 15 seconds every play.
@@TuMuchAltitude "Not that bad" (and I believe them to be sub-mediocre, especially in pass protection) isn't going to win a Super Bowl, but it's what Denver fans have accepted. No one can play behind that kind of consistent pressure. All Stidham has going for him is that he hasn't figured out yet that there most likely will NOT be a pocket for him to climb into. Having a defender in his grill on most plays will change that, but it will take time for the brutal reality to sink in. Russ was never perfect, but he deserved better than what the Broncos were willing to put out in front of him. McGlinchey is a real stinker in pass protection, but Denver KNEW that when they signed him. Last year the answer was Billy freaking Turner.
Blame the contract on George Paton, Blame the Broncos record on RW. Blame the man who has to fix the mess for being a head coach. The Walton family owner group knows what a bad contract is and I believe is a huge player on the business side of benching Wilson.
Its' mind boggling that sean peyton is still a coach in the NFL. After the Saints he should have never been allowed to coach anywhere ever again. No respect for the sport or the players. Who does he think will want to come to Denver when you berate a QB the way that way. sean peyton is a classless thug. FIRE HIM!!!!
THE DEFENSE IS WORSE THAN THE OFFENSE. SEAN PAYTON REALLY DOES NOT LIKE DEALING WITH BLACK PLAYERS WITH BIG PERSONALITIES 1.KEYSHAWN JOHNSON 2.JIMMY GRAHAM 3. ADRIAN PETERSON 4. RUSSELL WILSON
@@DeCurtaRican top notch? No, look at the stats, his numbers are good because some of those 300+ yard games were against Washington and Miami. Those weren't pretty games. I don't think he's completely washed. But he has vision issues in the middle of the field. Probably why he runs out of the pocket like he does.
It’s disgusting the way they treated him. I’m not a Wilson fan but you can tell Payton never tried with him. Body language says it all. Shame on Sean Payton.
As the Broncos were 0:3 their offense ranked 1st in Points per Possession ! The 1:5 went totally on the defense and if the defense would have been a little bit better the first 6 games the Broncos would have taken the division in front of the Chiefs. Russ was a blessing 4 the Broncos and they all proofed with THEIR inconsistency, that they do not deserve a QB of the caliber of Russell Wilson.
To me, the order of biggest cause of the Broncos problems this year: 1) Horrible trade Denver made to acquire Wilson. 2) Defensive coordinator during 1st 7 games 3) Russell Willson's declining skills and his inability to run Payton's offense. 4) Sean Payton. Ryan Clark sounds like a whiney B here. Wilson ran the franchise under Nathaniel Hackett That was untenable. Both of the players agreeing with Ryan Clark were cut by the Broncos. I don't hear anyone still on the team defending Wilson.
Let’s be honest, Russ misses a lot of reads and you can tell that infuriates SP then when Russ let’s it rip someone drops the ball. I think Stidham is gonna surprise ppl these next 2 weeks
It didn’t work, Russell Wilson is being fired, the way his contract structured, he cost you 37 million if he plays and gets hurt, he’s a professional, this is a business.
Why are we blaming one or the other? I think they're BOTH responsible for the demise of the BRONCOS. Honestly, this team is in no way the type of players that Sean Payton wants to have on his roster, which pretty much determines what his game planning consists of (or lacks). I'm surprised it took this long to replace Wilson, because he HAS NOT been a PRODUCTIVE LEADER FOR THE OFFENSE. And like you said earlier, IF YOU CAN'T SCORE unless your DEFENSE GIVES YOU THE BALL BACK IN GOOD FIELD POSITION YOU AIN'T GONNA WIN THE GAME! Period. And throughout the season, I haven't seen the BRONCOS OFFENSE even ATTEMPT TO CONTROL THE CLOCK. It's EITHER 3 & OUT or a TURNOVER ON THEIR END OF THE FIELD. Let's hope Stidham can jump in and provide a spark for the Players to get confident behind!
What do you mean 'they' are responsible for the "demise " of the Broncos? If the Broncos win one more game this season it will be their best season in SEVEN years.
@@brycearmstrong2891 Maybe so, but looking at their record for the last seven years, that doesn't say much. Besides, the last 2 games are with teams the suck WORSE than us...
@@brycearmstrong2891 And don't forget about the GM, who, in all his invincible knowledge, paid such an extraordinary amount for somebody who is past his prime!
In NOLA Peyton had a top 5 defense and offense almost every year and still missed the playoffs I think 3x in a row with losing records, the only time that Peyton did anything is via bounty gate .
Who the heck is this dude? He questions RC ability to give his opinion by stating he is not in the building. Dud, you are giving your opinion and you are not connected in any way. Just running your mouth for clicks.
I like studham he’s good he just needs to play and he’ll come together hope he does start next season get bo nix or Jj McCarthy and let them compete for the job .
I wish you would stop with the Russell Wilson hate already He has a couple of losses attributed to his play this season But the key losses are on Sean Peyton’s coaching, It’s like watching Vic Fangio but without the defensive production or maybe he was told to be a jerk to Wilson who knows
No blame. It is a matter of choice! Sean Payton has chosen Stigham. Payton is the coach! So, Russ is leaving. Russ doesn't have a problem with it! He did what he came to do.
Sean payton if u check russ stats they are a lil bit better than patrick so how is a better qb benched when he dont call the lays the coach does and we all knew it was a sabotage
Let's not act like, that wasn't the worse deal in NFL history with what they gave up for him. Obviously, Denver lost in that bet. How many first and second rounders and players. For what, him and one pick? C'mon man, I would of kept those and got rookies with them. smh
Even if that were true, they wrote that contract and decided to pay him. Why are players expected to honor their contracts but organizations aren’t held to those same standards? And to approach him like that and threaten to bench him AFTER a win is wild. Ppl like u never hold the franchises accountable and just blame the players for everything. No one forced them to trade all those assets for Russ then decide to pay him. If it was a shitty contract and he wanted more money, you’d expect him to honor it. Keep the same energy for the team
@@thinkAboutIt1x WRs and RBs are good. Just need a TE. He got benched because of money reasons. Me personally, I would of NEVER gave up all of those picks for him. For the reason, Seattle plays different then broncos scheme ones. Its why I don't understand why they did what they did. Oh well, hopefully next year will be better. R I P Demaryius Thomas. (WR)
@@SpliffkageFor the reason, you need to proform what you get paid. Happy now? He's better off going back to Seattle. But I know we ain't getting those picks back.
Stop making excuses SP came in the building disrespecting his Qb from day one. Now who really going to play for a coach making $90 million with 1 Super Bowl win and that bs that happened in New Orleans.
Sean Payton is not getting paid to coach Russ he’s not getting paid to be nice to Russ he’s getting paid to win games for the broncos if he thinks Russ can’t run his scheme if he thinks they won’t win with Russ then i think he should do what he needs to do
@@CHRIS-pz5sr he's not getting paid to put on a qbs uniform either. Maybe Russ should put on a coaches uniform to appreciate how difficult that is, but we know how he feels about pay cuts don't we?
😤 Good Payton needs to be called out! I can't believe some people take his side after the way he Totally Humiliated Russell Wilson on Live TV in front of the world!😡 & The Broncos Organization let him get away with it! He Sucks!!😤😤 He's A Bully Coach!! I've lost All Respect for him as a Coach and a Human being if he's Human!🤨💀
Lets be clear here. Wilson doesn't call the defense!!! Wilson doesn't call the plays. Whos to blame for that, Wilson? Put blame where blame needs to be. Accountability!!!!! Head and defense coaches to blame for those super big losses!!!!
Russ is to blame. Period. He was doing stupid ass shit prior to Payton even getting there. As a long term fan, I don’t want that guy as my teams QB….Don’t let the door hit you on the way out Russ! And Gregory has ZERO credibility.
Payton’s not any different than Mike Shanahan. He ran off far more free agents and sucked in the draft. And why do we care what Randy Gregory thinks, he didn’t earn any of his big money either. Maybe these high dollar players should look in the mirror! Go Broncos! 🏈
SP is a new coach that came in and was given a team from an older ownership. The old ownership gave up drafts and gave RW all the money. SP and the new ownership just sees RW as an overpaid average quarterback with no cap room to build around.
No divorces end well. This is no different. Honestly ready for the next phase and lest see what Stidham does on Sunday. I bet he sees the short field and is able to push up in the pocket.
