Russ didn't let the Lions score 42 points. Colin stands by his colleagues. At least Payton doesn't seem to have the personal flaws of Urban Meyer, who Colin stood by and pushed until no one could anymore. But the blame goes to the head coach not to the QB struggling with a so so team against a better coached and better manned team.

Hawks fan here. Have concerns that Daniels may not hold up in the NFL. Taking a QB is always risky but I hope they don't trade a fortune to move up for him. Two firsts is too much. Should be some good guys available at their natural draft position.

Science is not some dogmatic stricture, Colin. He was trying a new method developed by a doctor, who I'm pretty sure follows science. Science is loaded down with uncertainties and unknowns around the edges. But the more likely reason Aaron Rodgers doesn't want to risk coming back is because the Jets are toast this year. And I looked it up, they have the 32nd ranked o-line in the league. They have the worst offensive line and it may be by far the worst. Nobody is going to win behind it. o

Just because he’s the one screaming and being disrespectful , doesn’t mean he isn’t the problem. Russ needs to know that he is a top 10 QB on the rise. He will play in Denver at a high level or somewhere else, at this juncture, the way he’s been treated, he’s not going worry too much about where he plays, just how he plays. The improvement is evident and it’s not because of coach Payton. Russ has put in the work to improve and he expects to get back to being a top 3 or top 5 player by next season. IF he can’t co-exist with a coach it makes no sense to continue a terrible relationship. The team needs to fix it or remove one of them from the equation. Russ came to win a Superbowl in Denver. He plans on playing at least 5 more seasons at a very high level. Rather it be his choice and play out his contract in Denver or go somewhere else and play for a more respectful coach. The confidence is back. The movement and arm strength are back. With hard work and even more dedication this off season, the sky is the limit. Russ needs protection, weapons and a true threat at TE to compete in the best division in football. It wouldn’t hurt to involve him more in the play calling. Russ is a proven winner. He has done his time and paid his dues. He shouldn’t have to deal with respect issues from NOBODY. There are many teams that would love to have his services. Denver is where he’s committed BUT allowing this type of unprofessionalism to exist is not productive and Russ will no longer stand for it one second more. Coach Oayton has been to one superbowl throughout his career and he was lucky enough to have a hall of fame QB during that time. Russ has been to TWO Super Bowls and really should have TWO rings and TWO MVP’s. He is more than capable of taking this team to a Super Bowl. However , it’s looking like it’s either the coach or Russ at this point. Keep the coach , trade Russ. He would like to play for the Raiders, Jets, Tennessee, Vikings, Bears or any other team that respects him. Russ dies not mind competing for a job because Russ knows Russ and he will be starting, playing meaningful playoff games and he will also be in contention to win a SB! If Payton is so good let’s see when they separate and we will see who gets to the SB 1st!

Harbaugh is not purely motivated by $$. He is largely motivated by the desire to win a Lombardi Trophy and match his brother. 50/50 he leaves Michigan for the NFL. If Michigan wins the NC and the Chargers offer him, I think it moves up to 60/40 he leaves Michigan.

What has Sean Payton done so far that was so special besides behaving arrogantly and engineering a horrid defensive start that cost the Broncos at least four early wins in the Broncos' first six games -- as well as a would-be double-digit record as of today? Don't ask whether Payton trusts Russ. Ask whether Payton deserves Russ's trust! Russ has certainly done everything he has been asked to do, including sacrificing his own personal stats to do things Payton's way. In fact, i am not so sure that Payton shouldn't have just let Russ shoot it out with these other teams. It worked in 2020 when the Seahawks had a horrible D over the first 9 games of the season. Russ led them to 12-4 and a division title. Trust is a two-way street, you know. I am getting so sick of his arrogance, and part of me wants to watch Russ go off and curse his dumb a$$ out. I'm not a big Pete Carroll fan, but I think Pete Carroll is a better coach! Payton is too busy thinking he's some all-time elite coach, and he's not. He's not Bill Belichick, Bill Walsh, Chuck Noll, Tom Landry, or Don Shula, and he's NOT Bill Parcells either.

Successful coaches look at the strengths of your stars and yes Wilson has many more achievements than Payton Not even close in that area!
