Love this song, a great celebration of the Mortlock, Nukumanu (Tasman islands),Atoll🇵🇬 and Lord Howe (Luaniua and Pelau)🇸🇧 languages...the Polynesian outlier atolls of PNG & Solo. Same people however seperated by colonial borders and now state borders.
Correction my friend. Catarets is not a polynesian outlier, they are a melanesian atoll. The third polynesian outlier atoll you missed in PNG is Fead Island or also known as Nuguria 🙂
Love your songs Sean Rii...... if you dont mind me asking......what launguage is this??.......im pretty sure its either Tikopia or Sikaiana....am i right??.....Btw...im Tokelaun, and I could really understand most of the words while listening to this song...And this is the story from our elders back home...Tokelauan people from the atoll of Atafu, had migrated across the pacific ocean leaving their homes behind, whereas some had ended up in Tikopia , and some ended up in Sikaina...The reason being, was that Back in the days, Tokelau was never in peace....wars after wars amongst the three atolls, Fakaofo, Nukunonu and Atafu. So the story was...Fakaofo and Atafu was at war at the time....when the Atafu people realized that they are going to loose the war, meaning they are all going to die, knowing that they can no longer do anything, then they decided to migrate, and that how they ended up in Tikopia and Sikaiana.....the link below shows how a Tokelaun man from the island of Atafu visited Tikopia and had a convo with a Tikopian man.....
