The good news is, it happens a lot less these days because of price. Back when PSA would grade on the spot, all you'd see at conventions was dealers with boxes of slabs cracking them open, taking them over to the PSA/BGS booth, getting a grade on the spot, then repeating the process all day long. That's why you'll always see the infamous "Grading is subjective" sign in coin stores.
