On the opening day of his major exhibition, 'Inside Outside', Sean Scully discussed his work and influences. Considered to be one of the most important abstract painters working today, Scully discusses the inspiration behind recent projects.
The largest-ever presentation of sculptures and first exhibition of sculpture and painting in the UK by the Irish-born artist is on display at the Park until 6 Jan 2019.

Thank you very much, Mr. Scully, amazing works. I will soon be at Villa Panza to admire your works. I think that if a person does not have the sensitivity to appreciate the rarefaction of gesture and thought, it would be better to be silent.

I really dont understand why people think thick lines / blocks of dulux is " amazing abstract art " it looks naff...this guys stealing a living..a salvador dali painting, yes thats totally unique....this just isnt. I wouldnt give u a tenner for it. Pretentious rubbish.

@@hemlock68: I know exactly what it is (it's hardly a 'shit' brand btw). I was simply baffled why you used the term in this context: Scully doesn't use industrial or household paint. Comparing Dalí with Scully is bizarre to say the least too. They were/are trying to do totally different things with their work.
