Throwback af. I used to go to Walgreens and buy these packs after school. I remember when kids in middle School used to take their binders with the clear card sleeves pages (idk what their called) lol.
Steve Orino same. Middle school kids helped us finish our homework then went out to playground and played with us. I don’t think elementary schools do that anymore. We had our own little after school crew with both parents working late. Brings back lots of memories.
What’s crazy I used to buy those base set booster box all the time as a kid. Who woulda thought years later they be that much bread same as for yugioh cards
Wtf I had no idea these old cards were worth this much nowadays... I remember I had a holographic Zaptos and charziard back in 3rd grade probably like late 90’s.
Bro how did I not see this live?! I never even got the chance to open a big box, all I was able to get was packs. I remember going to Toys R Us and they had hundreds of packs in the big baskets where they put the bouncy balls. Always debating on what pack to buy, thinking which one would have a holo lol.
Most people my age that collected pokemon only know the 1st an jungle and fossils. And then when I went to see the first pokemon movie in the theatre I was so hyped to get the special mewtwo card. And when the movie was over I walked around and checked the floors and found 5 cards..
It definitely would’ve been too much if you pulled that charzard! Box’s had dragonite, Lapras, ditto, all three of the legendary birds, areodactyl, a gyrodos, clefary, chansey, nine tails, venasaur and THREE blastoids 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Senior Whoopy IRL definitely did. The price on vintage Pokémon cards even up to like 2007 can cost hundreds of dollars for one pack. If this was a first edition box it would be worth about $100K
